I am using the Prizma paint for an art project. A giant dragonfly, It read it was best with a black base coat. My dragon fly is going to look amazing with the sparkly colors reflecting from the Sun, off the body and head. The "pot" is the head, the body a bed post painted with the Prizmacoat. The picture shows only one coat. When I finish I think I will try 2 to 3 coats. It seems durable, and didn'tt scratched off when I tried to. The spray application went clean and easy.

I choose this because I had a funky wind chime that weathered badly. Most of the paint dried and chipped off it. It was a kaleidoscope of colors that I could never hope to duplicate should I try to restore it. Well, when I saw this, I said, let me try it, if this don't work, nothing will. I prepped the piece by sanding all the old paint off, then priming it with a white acrylic spray. I let it dry, then put this on top of it. When it dried, it had the most unusual look to it. I was happy I got it and would recommend it for anyone who wants to create a different subtle look of rainbow colors. Simply AWESOME.

Couple of things you need to know before you buy this. The product requires that you use it in certain ways, it wants you to use an under coat of a dark color and then you have to use a clear cover over it (a clear spray lacquer works) or it will scratch off. I am giving the paint a great review, because if you use it right, it is gorgeous, but you have to do your prep and it isn't something that is what you want if you just want to buy, spray and be done.

This is interesting paint. It does not change the color of the surface you apply it to. What it does is add sparkle to it. As long as you keep that in mind, I think you will like the effect.
Do not expect a dramatic difference. This is more of a subtle accent added to what you are painting. From a distance it shows up more as the object being brighter then you would expect. But as you get closer, and as the way the light hits it, it almost looks like there are gems embedded in the paint. It is a nice affect.
I tried to take a picture of it, but it does not show up well in the picture. You will have to try it yourself.

I got this finish to use on a more unique application, plastic puppets. This product does require a clear top coat as it is basically spray glitter. But, with a top coat the end results are pretty cool, especially in sunlight. I found the product sprayed on evenly with no dripping or running. The nozzle is adjustable depending on how you want the spray pattern to be (vertical or horizontal). I might use that I have left on wind chimes and sun catchers. The only thing I didn't like about this product is that it requires a clear coat over top. Without it the flakes of glitter will fall of and are not shiny or brilliant. It's an extra step, not a big deal, but I'm one of those "all in one" kinda lazy painters.

I am refurbishing an old Aluminum boat and wanted the back to be metal reflective. Prizmacoat was more than I expected. The paint has the metallic lock as well as a suddel colorful back drop. After taking our boat out, the paint held up against water and sun.

Super cool effect over black paint! You need to wait for some sun outdoors or be in a fairly well lit room, but then you'll be amazed at the truly prism-sparkle-look you'll achieve. It changed colors as you change the angle that you're looking at it. Initially I was skeptical, so I tested it on 2 small projects (one was chrome) to ensure the results. It looks like a custom professional job. This is definitely high quality stuff that I can't wait to spray on my motorcycle when the temps warm up outside.
