Product Overview

There are many charming stories and myths about Fireflies (or lightning bugs if you prefer), but this is about light, not myth. Fireflies flash their lights in patterns, trying to perfect their best come-hither pattern. This seemed like a good jumping off point for a bathroom light design. Our special Micro Texture glass and the slotted bent metal insets suggest the twinkling patterns of the eager Fireflies. And all the while, the 2-prongs holding the glass beckon you in for a closer look.

The light was not accurately described by either the photo of it nor some of the specifications about it. It does not have the warm bronze appearance or light. The frame is nearly black and the light is a stark white. The construction resulted in the glass being out of square with the frame. The description indicated that 50 watt bulbs were the maximum, however, the documentation and warning label on the fixture indicates that 40 watts bulbs are the maximum. Disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect in every way! The alternating current firefly lighting was the perfect size and style for the limited space I had in my newly remodeled restroom.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful, but not as bright as expected This fixture is beautiful. Elegant, modern and goes great with my green glass tiled bath and clear glass sink. My only objection is that it is not as bright as four 40-watt bulbs should be. The prior fixture, which had two incandescent 60-watt bulbs, was brighter. Probably due to the metal in front of the bulbs that blocks some of the light - my ceiling now has great light, but not as much reaches the mirror or tub area. In the future, I may buy the same thing with one more section, or change to a brighter fixture. But for now it looks nice and I'll just deal with less light than I'd like and expected.
