Installed this range in September 2013. Right out of the box, the thermostat was inaccurate and the oven ran 25 degrees cold. This gradually got worse until January 2014, when I called for warranty service because the thermostat was 50 degrees off. It took more than a month for Amana to send a replacement thermostat, and after working fine for 2 months, that thermostat also started to fail. I had to turn the oven up to 500 to get the internal temp to 375. I called for warranty service again in July 2014. This time Amana sent the service company the right box containing the wrong thermostat -- twice in a row -- and I've now been entirely without a working oven for a month. And it's still under warranty. I'm getting a new range, any other brand but Amana.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Doug A really nice, apartment-sized stove
I needed a small (20-inch wide) stove to replace a 60-year old model that had recently expired. I found this one on the Home Depot website. It was just what I wanted: the right size and simple. It was a bonus to have the lower broiling tray in a separate compartment below the oven, and I've had fun flipping the oven light on and off. Definitely worth the money...

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Robert Product seems to be very well made. Gas pipe and valve prevents stove from being pushed flush to wall.
Home Depot did a good job in rapid delivery and installation. Stove seems to be well made and tenants are happy with it. I like the stove top design with the sealed burners and grates that cover the top. This will prevent damage to the stove top. Also, the raised edge will prevent spills from going over the edge to the floor. Only problem was the flat back on the stove with no recess for the gas pipe coming out of the wall. This prevents stove from being pushed back all the way.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by gjn317 The logical choice for 20" stove
We manage and maintain apts and building in the NYC area.We used in the past Avanti stoves.Even brand new stoves do not work and you can not get parts.Eventually after waiting months for parts and fifty calls Avanti takes back the stove. On Avantoi stoves that are out of warranty you just have toi throw out.The Amana parts are available and the stove is more expensive but better built.

The grates, which are really heavy gauge wire, came misshapen. The burner knobs do not actually regulate the heat..the flame stays too high most of the way around the dial. I had my installer adjust them, and now there is a tiny bit of the dial that creates a low flame..nothing in between.
