The price may be tempting, but don't get fooled. We had this range for four weeks before the right side of the stovetop stopped lighting. It was only about a year until the oven stopped working too. Now we're shopping for ranges again. Do yourself a favor: pass on this cheaply made piece of what will quickly become scrap metal taking up space in your kitchen.

The oven was sent and the first thing the installers wouldn't install it because I didn't meet guidelines for an install. I ordered the stove online so no one told me I needed special installation guidelines. I had the company leave the stove and not do the installation. After further inspection of the gas fitting I found that I would be able to install it myself. Then while unpacking the stove I found a 8-10' dent on the side. I immediately called the help number and they offered me a 50.00 gift card as compensation (which I never received yet.) After moving the oven in place I noticed the left rear valve stem was bent. Although it still works the appearance on the off and the temperature settings is slightly off because of the bend, it is annoying I paid that much and found these flaws. I think online sales should not only make sure a customer has the proper installation minimums before delivering a stove for installation. Also I think Home Depot should do quality control on products delivered sight unseen. I paid lots of money for this stove and it should not be bent as it is.

Home Depot emailed me about a big online appliance sale. Advertised prices too good to resist... until I actually went online and tried to get a stove for the advertised price. Turns out the sales price was $1 below the limit for the advertised free shipping on all appliances and store pick up was not offered. + $79 Then there's an installation fee + $25 and a parts fee + $20. Then to add insult to injury, after an hour online trying to get their web site to work the sale price disappeared two hours early. (Turns out online sales are on East Coast time.) In the end, the $249 stove rang up at $499!!! though that did qualify me for the free delivery. Hah!

Receive this product 6 days ago. The first time uses the oven for baking a cake. The oven door falls off. Call to the warranty service. Technician comes out in 2 days, reasonable. But the oven door falls off again when we try it. Technician will come today for repair. I think Home Depot sent me a product with existing problem. I will ask for a refund if technician cannot fix it.

After waiting 6 days for delivery, the delivery company cancelled delivery of the stove with no notice and they were uncooperative in getting the delivery rescheduled. Once it was finally delivered, it couldn't be installed due to a gas valve issue (not their fault) but at least it was at the apartment. After a plumber fixed the valve issue, he installed the stove only to find that the oven wouldn't heat. Home Depot customer service referred me to Maytag. Maytag isn't open on weekends, so on Monday morning I called for service and was told that the next available service appointment was not until September 28th. When I asked to be put on a cancellation list, the customer service rep found me an appointment for today. I was supposed to be called between 8-9am. At 11am, I hadn't heard anything so I called. They cancelled the appointment but didn't tell me. The next available appointment is on 9/22/2016.
I don't fault Home Depot for Maytag's shortcomings, but I do fault HD for not assisting with resolution of these problems in any way. I have been managing rental properties for 25 years and I have never had such difficulty getting a single appliance replaced. I won't make the mistake of buying an appliance here again.
