Amdry insulated wall panels combine an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional drywall laminated to expandable polystyrene (EPS) insulation to make a one-step insulated wall panel. The panels are resistant to moisture, mold and mildew, making them ideal for basement spaces. They also offer insulation from sound. The specs say that the product is 3.9 inches thick and weighs 44 lbs. The photo shows a man installing something else about 1/2" thick.

Answer: 
it looks like the edges of the board fit over the stud. So, this guy installed the 4inch panel, most of which is recessed between the stud with just a 1/2 inch nailing edge to secure it to the stud. IMHO

Please be advised that there may be an error on the install video.
our Amdry R14 WALL PANEL is yes 4" x 2' x 8'.
Our Amdry R5 or R7 TILE FLOOR PANEL are 1.4 and 1.9" thick respectively.

Answer: 
EPS- This product is made from Construction grade expanded polystyrene faom laminated to a mold and mildew and water resistant - fiber reinforced mag board.

The overall thickness of the panel is 3.9" but the actual foam thickness is only 3.4 " and will match perfectly with a 2 x4 stud thickness and is flush on the back. The 1/2" Mag board surface is designed to bridge half the width of a stud on the front face to allow regular drywall screws to be used . The surface board is also pre-grooved to allow for drywall compound with or without fiberglass mesh( we Read More
