29.75 in. x 40.75 in. 3000 Series Double Hung Fin Vinyl Window - White is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not recommended for now I bought 5 of this window in 2009 and 11 in 2010, 3 from the previous year and 7 from the second purchased started leaking that if you guys remember the horrible winter we had in 2010. I went to home depot because I am still under warranty they gave the manufacture number I called them they sent a technician 2 months later. When I showed him video and pictures of suet all around the windows and between the panels, he said he doesn't understand he put on some weather strips in a few windows. But now we in October 2011 everything back the same way again, this time I am feeling some draft. Some of these windows were installed by a pro I payed $ 70 installation for the first 3 out of the first 5 one, the rest I did them myself.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what I had in mind If you like sleeping with mosquitos this is the window for you! Install was easy! They do it for you! However, the clips break even when you DON'T use the window so plan to have them out every few weeks to replace them... You will be on a first name basis with the warranty guys. You will also be told that the screens are not "bug proof" so sleeping with the mosquitos is something you will be very familiar with or you will not be able to use the window as a functional product... it will only be a "looking window." And in that case WHO NEEDS A SCREEN IN THE FIRST PLACE! Spiders also like to come through the screens so make sure that you have an exterminators number handy! If you are an avid camper and like the outdoors... THIS IS THE PERFECT WINDOW FOR YOU! I personally paid for the outdoors to stay outdoors.... Not what I got, and this is what I am stuck with!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected I installed 2 of these windows this summer. They are well made and were easy to install. This width actually has 2 sash locks, which was a pleasant surprise since the photo only showed a single lock. The upper sash has two little locks that can be used to prevent the window from opening more than a couple of inches. These would be handy in a high crime area or on a second floor to keep kids safe.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fine for the price The window was easy to install, but we've noticed that it is difficult to close it properly so that the latches can be done. While it isn't terrible, my 9 year old cannot close it properly and this is right next to his bedroom.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent price/performance ratio These windows have a rock-bottom price and delivery is fast and very predictable (most of the time). I purchased double-houng varetiy and am amazed you can get so much feature and function for the price. Quality, however, is another question. My budget is SO LOW that I had to go with these windows, despite the fact that I was advised to spend about 10-15% more to get Jeld-Wen equivilents, which have aluminum reinforcement and are much more rigid, and, thus, much easier operation. The worst part was UPS delivery. I had several windows arrive damaged. the packaging is not adequate to withstand UPS abuse. Five windows had their spring assemblies pop off their respective rail pegs (attaching them to the bottom of the windows), but with a screwdriver and some engineering smarts I was able to repair those. Two others arrived with broken fins and cracked rails (wow - that was some UPS abuse there! - regardless of packaging, which, while inadequate for UPS, is NOT shabby!). I returned the two to my local home depot no sweat (be sure to bring your original invoice so you have Internet Item Number and your order number). I was also able to return the three windows which were incorrectly ordered (rather, my framers incorrectly framed the openings). This part was my fault, but home depot took them back anyway. A huge bonus. No returns on CUSTOM windows! When the replacement windows came, one was broken - the springs had come off the rails and a hole was punched in the inside part of top rail (visible when installed) but I had to MOVE and installed it anyway - will patch it with a piece of plastic later or maybe even remove and return within 30 days. I had a very experienced carpinter installing these windows - good thing - they have to be instaleld perfectly by TWO people, plum and square. They are so flexible it's easy to do a poor installaton and have windows that bind. In the end I think I may be satisfied with the purchase. I have very inexpensive qualified labor (two people at $42/hr - lucky) and so the 10-15% extra installation time is OK - otherwise these might not have been worth the price because of extra labor time. I am mostly weather tight (no doors yet), but so far these seem to perform well. No leaks, no drafts, no condensation inside the widnows. I used the trim flanges (built in trim, basically) and that SAVED a lot of installation time. Later I will trick out the trim work to look more up-scale. Overall these things were sort of scary but I think they'll wind up being OK. We've had several days of heat and insane amounts of rain and cold since install and no binding so far. I did have to additionally trim off a lot of excess caulk and even some overly extruded plastic from Manufacturing with a utility knife. If you have no money but extra time to deal with these, they are an excellent choice.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Vinyl Joints Rough I had two issues with the window. The first is that the vinyl joints on the window are quite rough and detract from the look of the window. They also make it hard to trim the window. The second issue is the incorporated moulding. I guess the idea is let you avoid putting wood trim around the window. But, it makes it harder to run the siding up to the edges and makes no sense at all on the top. You have to make a drip ledge to keep water out of the channel. That would be avoided if the top trim was just solid. Still, for the price you can work around the problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great window and price. The windows were installed and they look great. They operate flawless., The only problem is that the white sides are to wide on the frame and you loose to much of the clear opening.
