Installed with myself & a friend (expert contractor) one year ago. Installation was as expected. Windows work as you'd expect. Energy efficient and comes with screens which is great for the summer. No problems with windows. Great value if your looking for solid budget windows.

the windows seem well built and of good quality. They were easy to install, following the online instructions after watching the you tube video. My only complaint is we ordered these two online, as they were a standard size and were not offered the option of full length screen. we went to the store and ordered a custom size, and had that option. the sales associate looked up the standard sizes, and if ordered in the store option of full or half screen was available. Other than that, a good purchase.

I did this by myself in about 2 hours per window (Sills previously painted. I recommend doing this while waiting for delivery).
The video was very helpful. Do watch it if this is you first time.
I removed the old sashes, cleaned out the old sash reel hardware and scraped the surfaces prior to a test fitting.
I trimmed the sill filler (Some additional suggestions would be helpful. DO NOT use a radial arm saw: chipped one).
Dry fit time: A Very good fit. I decided a slight lift was better than using the included expansion cap.
Removed the window, Applied caulk, refit and trued with temporary shims. Installed the screws, careful to not over tighten, Trimmed (this window was slightly thicker for some reason) and reattached interior trim molding.
Additional (optional) tools used: DUST mask is a must. Scraper and Bosch Multitool sander to remove paint buildup. Radial/Table saw for trim. Finish nail gun for trim out .
Cons: A (bottom) Half screen on a double hung window???
Am I the only one who uses the Top sash for venting? IMHO Double hung windows should get full size screens.

These windows were perfect for our cottage since the screens are 1/2 screens which give us a "clear" view to look out at the lake. They were easily installed. They look great and the price was right!!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DIYer Very nice looking window for the price. Easy to install.
I do all my own work around my house, so when I started looking at having my windows replaced by professionals, I could not believe the estimates. I decided to do these myself and save a lot of money. They are a very easy window to install as long as you follow the installation instructions.
The only reason for the 3 stars is they are not top of the line windows. Some of the joints are not perfect, one of the locks was loose but I was able to just tighten. Just small nitpicky stuff. Compared to the 40 year old flaking windows and ugly storm windows these really added a nice touch to the looks of our house.
I would definitely recommend the these for the do it yourselfers or even if it your first time doing replacement windows. Just measure correctly and take your time when installing. Now only 12 more to go.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mujo Great windows
I purchase 70 series windows for my own house and all my customers when I take jobs and they are very happy with the outcome. Windows look great and they are very energy efficient. If you custom order your size always go little less then the actual size ( if is 36 inches order 35 1/2 it will give u that half inch to seal with foam ) . Good luck.

Well made and easy install makes the windows a great value. They are good looking, and with new wood interior trim and blinds gives the house a new look.
Went on line to see how to replace 65 year old windows in a cinder block ranch house. Saw some youtube examples and made measurements.Went to Home Depot who helped me select the right window. Came home, disassembled the old window, siliconed the remaining frame and slid the new window in place. It fit perfectly with no shimming. It also looked so nice I decided to replace all the interior trim. So back to Home Depot for whitr primed trim. First window took an hour, with trim 3 hours. Everything went so well and looked so good I did all 7 windows. Last one took an hour , with the trim.
