For the price, this light worked great for us... decent quality at a very decent price when on sale and free shipping! The wax "candles" were a great touch, only gripe would be that two of them were way more yellow tinted than the rest... would be nice if they were all from the same color lot. Light bulbs do make quite a bit of humming noise, but okay. We listened to the other reviews and did not put the bulb in the center/pointing down slot and the lighting was good for our dinning room. I wanted a Pottery Barn style light for our dinning room without spending the P.Barn prices since we'll be moving soon... I got what I wanted in this light!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DaveCCTX Great lamp!
Bought this lamp on sale for $109 then had a $10 off code. That made this lamp a great deal. Really nice, very bright and easy to install.
The real wax covers really make this a classy fixture. They all matched with no color discrepancies as other reviewers had reported. We shopped for a chandelier with real wax diffusers and they are quite expensive. This one looks as good as others for triple the cost.
Note: this fixture uses CFLs that are not dimmable. It is VERY bright even with the down-facing light turned off. This was for my entry, but if I intended to use this for a dining room it might be a too much light.
Also, the box took quite a beating during shipping and everything arrived intact with no damage. Highly recommended!

The light fixture looks great in the area where it was installed and provides a good light source. What makes me unsure is that there was a broken light bulb and the replacement bulb is a special order item from Home Depot! Luckily, my local HD had one and gave it to me after a lot of searching. Additionally, the wax candles look good, except one of mine is a slighly different color from the rest. Oh no. We were able to turn the light in such a way that you can't really tell the different color, because it looks more like a shadow. In bright light; it's distinctly different from the other candles. I'm also unsure about what will happen IF any of the candles get damaged by age, dust, or heat. The light fixture is NOT a common stock item and I was told that replacement candles are NOT available. So, for now the light is a nice update to the place where it was installed. My concern is for future problems either with getting more light bulbs or replacing the wax candles.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Arkytraveler Very nice, but....
This is an attractive chandelier, and when lit up it looks awesome. It seems well constructed, with one exception. Each bulb is a two-piece unit, the bulb and a separate ballast base (GU24 base). One of the ballast bases didn't work at all, and one worked intermittently.
We swapped out the one from inside the center of the light to one of the outside lights, but in doing so broke one of the bulbs! Then another one was on-again, off-again working (we learned we had to take the ballast out of its socket and back in again and it would usually start working, but in doing this we broke another of the bulbs).
All that said, we contacted the manufacturer and within a couple days we had two new ballasts and two new bulbs, at no charge. (they didn't match the originals in shape but they're inside the wax diffusers so not visible). Home Depot sells 13W fluorescent bulbs with the GU24 base (BPESL13T/GU24), and for my money, they're better than what shipped with the lamp.
I still give it 4 stars... the chandelier is very nice and well made, and the manufacturer very responsive in resolving issues. If it had worked out of the box, it'd definitely be five stars.

The light was very sturdy and well made. I put up two different types of lights that week, this one was heavier and the chain was noticeably stronger. It also included the light bulbs which was convenient. The light given off is excellent, and the one directional down light provides great light, but is also well hidden. The only negative so far are the light diffusers; one was very white while the others appeared more yellow. We had another diffuser shipped to us with no problems; however, when placed in the light, there are others that now appear to be a different shade. I expect that Home Depot will make it right, so I would still recommend this light fixture to others.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by pedworld Installed our fixture this weekend. Yes, it doesn't work with a dimmer. It worked the first minutes then when we turned it off and later turned it on it stopped working. The light was bright but not a problem. Be carefull in instaling the bottom directed light. My large fingers broke it when installing and it wasn't easty to find a replacement bulb. Only Home Depot had one and it was a different shape but fine for a down light (longer versus circular). We do like the fixture but worry about replacing bulbs.

Searched for weeks for just the right light for my dining room. Found this on sale and we hung it this weekend. My husband says I hit a home run with the light!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Dgirl not exactly what I expected
I bought this fixture to go over my dining room table, replacing a fixture with a spot light which I loved to shine on flower arrangements. When my electrician installed the light he told me he had to remove the dimmer because these light bulbs won't work on a dimmer - he said I'd still be able to use the spot only if I wanted less light. It turns out this chandelier is all-or-nothing - it has a switch which is presumably to switch from the candles to spot to both, but it's only an "all-or-nothing" switch, I can't utilize only the spot light. This is a lot more light than I like when dining - no way to create any type of mood. The candle bulbs seem to be hit-or-miss in terms of whether they want to work or not - I've had to remove a couple of them and re-insert them in order for them to work.
