It will help keep your area rug in place to avoid slipping or tripping of moving rugs, and make vacuuming easier. It’s the ideal product to smooth out grout lines, and furniture indentions. Has anyone used this as the walking surface for a dog ramp, mounted onto 2 @ 2"x 8" x 6' boards? Would my 85# lab's claws shred it?

Answer:
We have not heard of a situation in which our All-Surface pad has been used for the project you are referring. Perhaps an entry mat runner with a non skid backing may be a better solution.

Answer:
With several unknown conditions, such as what is the surface of the stairs, or stair rods being used, what is the stair treads made of, which all could lead to a trip hazard we would be declined to recommending usage of any non slip rug pad.

I have wall to wall carpet in a game room with heavy traffic. I have a runner down but it slips all over the place. Will this placed under the runner help with the slipping problem?

Answer:
Depending on the runner's padding underneath as well as the carpet itself will determine how well the rug pad will work.
Your best option is to try it out and see how effective it can work. Usually, there aren't issues, but you can return it at your local Home Depot store if it doesn't work out for you.

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 18 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really nice I really like this non-slip rug pad. We did not end up keeping the rug but the pad was terrific! August 17, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by non-slip not fully When used on hardwood floors the runner rug still has tendency to move, but much less than it would without the non-slip. August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Looks like it will work This mat holds the runner in place on my hardwood floors well, even when my 90 lb. dog chases his ball across it, but the backing does not look like it will stick to or imprint the floor, the way some of the netting-style mats do. Not enough time has passed to be sure on that yet, though. I like the thickness under this particular rug, but some might find it a little too thick so give that some thought. I docked it some points on price, which seems high for what this is. June 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is the best padding that I have ever used@ A little difficult to trim, but worth the trouble! May 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Safety First The most important thing about this purchase is the potential to avoid serious injury. The throw rugs in our bedroom would want to slide if you stepped wrong. Now they're as firm to the floor as can be. One roll handled both throw rugs and the runner at the foot of the bed. You can't tell they're under there except that the rugs seem thicker when you walk on them. Just cut them with a good scissors and lay them on the floor under the rug. August 19, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Doesn't work as advertised. Bought 3 runners and 3 of this product. If you plan on using on carpet forget it. It does not keep the runner from shifting both side to side and end to end. While it may work on non-carpeted surfaces, look elsewhere if you plan rug to carpet use. Contrary to the description it does not work in this type application. September 25, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Thick pad, works well to hold rug in place I bought the rug pad for a 2' x 5' wool runner. Had to cut it to fit, and it was fairly easy to cut with a good pair of scissors. Although it worked well and kept the rug in place nicely, the added thickness hampered the opening of the door, so I had to use it on another rug that was in the middle of the room. Good product, though. June 10, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Produce Easy to trim to fit, keeps the runner in place despite a rambunctious galloping cat. April 14, 2015
