Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DynaThor It won't be installed and used for several months but it is certaily heavy and solid. We don't forsee any negative issues.
It is really solid. If there are problems installing it will be with the sub-floor, not the product. We did not really shop for prices with any competitors as we rarely, if ever, find prices cheaper than Home Depot. We also relied on the reputation of American Standard and are not disappointed. I needed help from the American Standard website for the EXACT specs and got excellent help from customer service to get there. Thank you Ms. Washington (Gloria, I think). Very detailed specs so we can build it in with a perfect fit. It came in a reasonable time, but shipping anything of that weight is pricey so that adds to the overall cost. We have tried to pour our own shower pans before and because it is so hard to get a perfect slope, especially in that size, we think it was worth the price to have the prefab pan. I would send photos if it was installed but we have just finished gutting a 1945 home and just beginning to frame. We love working with Home Depot and I am an interior designer and hubby is a contractor.
