There is a lever that allows you to either make the water go out the top or to the wand.

Adhesive waal mount to valve appears to have valve assembly loose from wall mount system.

Is there screws or such that needs to be tightened?
Asked by: Merlie
There is a screw in the valve under that little grey plug cap you can tighten that up if I understand you correctly

Nice brushed nickel and made my a name I knew. It worked good too for about a year. The quality is not good which is surprising given it is American Standard. First the seal on the head started failing. In position 1 it would leak water to the next position causing the spray force of position 1 to lessen. This was not an isolated case as I bought four of these for my new house and all of them did this. Next the pipe section that holds the lever that changes the water flow from the upper head to the shower handheld broke off from the main pipe section. It was a plastic connector which just snapped. This happened when I was simply moving the lever. I am very disappointed and my replacement heads will definitely not be from American Standard. It is a shame because the overall design was perfect for what I needed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money!!! First off this is not typical quality from American Standard and the designer should be fired! The quality is poor, lots of flimsy plastic. It did install easy but uninstalled even easier as it went back two days later. It was held up by the fitting that attached to the shower head pipe and the piece that goes on the wall was either suction cup or double faced tape= CHEESY!!! The diverter valve leaks all over, the fitting where the tube meets the plastic adapter leaks over all very displeased. Like I said in the title DONT waste your money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Save your money and upgrade! I remodeled my parents bathroom in January 2014 and installed a disability friendly shower. I purchased this showerhead combo to allow my disabled father to use his shower chair and my mother to use the same shower without putting the handheld out of my fathers reach. Biggest waste of money EVER! It is now only 8 months after installing the shower head and every single joint on the unit is spewing water at such a rapid rate that a 5 minute shower is cold 2 minutes in. Worst of all, the 90 day return period was already up before the unit started to malfunction so I have to buy a new shower head AND I am out the $88 for the first one I purchased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great value for the price This item, for $88, is a great value. As some reviewers have pointed out, it is plastic, not metal but don't allow that to deter you. The key is to not use tools to assemble this shower device, hand tightening (using the teflon tape and seals provided) will do the trick. I used a wet washcloth to give the fittings the final seating, but no tools. You should note that this device allows for EITHER the top or hand-held shower to flow, not both. My reason for purchasing was to provide a safely-reachable hand-held shower so that my 10 year old daughter could better rinse her hair. Then, for general showering, a quick turn of the valve returns the flow back up top. Both shower heads are adjustable, too. I have a smooth surface, so I used the suction cup but an adhesive pad is provided for those who have a surface such as rough tile. The only modification I made was to remove the plastic pad from the suction cup before adhering to the wall, which I prepared by cleaning with isopropyl alcohol prior to sticking it to the wall. There is also a small valve that ensure adhesion. And, of course, you'll want to make sure the unit is plumb before you stick it. Follow the directions and you'll be pleased with your results.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Returning it today If you are going to set it and forget it, or just use it as a showerhead, you will be fine. We have two little tots in the house and need a combo handheld/showerhead in order to bath them. We've used this combo for 2 weeks and it feels like it's about to snap. the whole thing flexes and the handheld sits awkwardly and is prone to falling out of the holster. (not good with a one year old sitting below!) We're going back to Delta or Moen. Also, the suction never worked and the adhesive is coming off (not off the tiles, but off of the unit itself which was applied in factory). All in all, I tried to save a buck and ended up wasting a lot of gas and time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage! I am a professional is my story! This thing blew apart at the joint where the ball socket attaches from the gooseneck pipe to the vertical bar piece. The plastic housing is so thin, it snapped when tightening the threads. Don't waste your money...I wasted mine and my client's! So I get to find a replacement on my own dime.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from broke after 1.5 year First there was no more suction for adjusting the height of the arm. (Something we seldomly adjusted.) Then, the dial broke. Opened it. Couldn't see inside mechanism. Into the trash it goes. Expensive for amount of time it lasted.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage It was my fault for not checking the ratings before purchase, but with a name like "American Standard" I thought the quality would at least be average. Not so. It made of lightweight plastic parts that have peel and stick adhesive to mount to the shower wall. Assembly is fast and easy without any tools needed, but as a dedicated do-it-yourself handyman, drilling a hole or turning a wrench is no problem. Cheap made shower hardware that falls apart after only a few days is a big problem. Buyer Beware!
