Many reviewers state the seat has cracked numerous times. Can you please tell me if American Standard has corrected this problem or is it still being made with the same/original seat?

If that lid is being sat upon then it could break or if it isn't installed properly. Other than that I am not aware of any issues with this seat.

Customer Reviews

Boulevard FloWise 1-piece 1.28 GPF Single Flush Elongated Toilet with Concealed Trap-Way in White is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Toliet, Defective Seat, Unresponsive Customer Service Installed all American Standard products in a four bath home that I built in 2002 and they’ve been great so naturally looked at their products when we were doing a two bath remodel of our condo. Purchased AS Boulevard toilet in April of 2012 because of its contemporary looks and strong reviews. After living with it for this period of time, I can report that it is excellent. Easy to keep clean because of the smooth lines, will handle any amount of waste with no problems and it is quiet. Really like the look of the soft closing seat and lid, but have had a problem with it from day one. The quick release mechanism on one of the attaching post will not lock in place so the seats slips up when raised and doesn’t feel secure when you sit down. Emailed American Standard and they said to tighten the posts, which I did even though it didn’t impact the locking mechanism. This didn’t help at all so emailed them again but never got a response. So on February 18, 2013, I sent a letter to the Director of Consumer Affairs at American Standard and asked how to get a properly operating seat. I also included copies of my invoice and shipping notice. As of November 14, 2013 I have not received a response. Now the soft closing seat is cracking near the spot where the attaching post does not lock. I really can’t imagine why there has been no response. Anyone out there have suggestions on what I should do next? Have you experience this type of unresponsive customer service from American Standard? Bottom line: great toilet, defective seat, and unresponsive customer service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits the Function and Decor We have tried a few toilets at our home - including a competitor - they weren't comfortable and they were loud pressure assist toilets. I'm a designer so make sure to try sitting on a similar toilet in a showroom - they are not all as comfortable as the Boulevard

Rated 5 out of 5 by from really nice looking! I was looking for low maintenance, easy to clean toilet. This is a great toilet. Sleek design, elongated, sits a little taller than the average toilet but is not a problem. Maybe if you have smaller children... Flushing is extremely quiet, and has a small tank compared to the toilet I replaced and uses a LOT less water. I like that feature. Easy to wipe down, no bolts on the bottom to clean around and collect dirt. I love it! Would definitely recommend. I notice now it is on sale for a great price! I paid full price but still think it was worth it, and it is a lot cheaper than other one piece toilets I researched.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful but,,,,,, Beautiful design, smooth operation, looks great in my bathroom. It was more difficult to install than I'd thought, weighed almost 100 lbs and could bot be broken down like a two piece toilet. Eventually set it on top of three stacks of half inch plywood blocks and began removing one at a time all the while feeling underneath to be sure the closet bolts were passing through the toilet holes correctly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Looking, Easy To Install & Good Flush This is a great product! Unlike Totos and Kohlers these were made with installation ease in mind. The product covers the supply line valves so that they can not be seen once the toilet is installed and more important, no moving of supply lines is required. The toilet leaves 3 1/2" behind the unit down low for the supply line. No flange bolts can be seen since they are covered.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product has great features We had the toilet professionally installed so as for ease of installation, it was a breeze. The plumbers did have to leave to purchase compatible valves for the toilet. The toilet looks great, a very quick, quiet flush with much less water consumption which is a plus since we are on a well. An added bonus not mentioned in the pre purchase literature was that the seat will automatically go down after usage on a damped system which is quiet and efficient

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good looks, challenging install We purchased this model for its narrow footprint in our smallest bathroom. It looks and works great but was a bear to install ourselves. The one piece design makes the unit awkward to line up over the bolts and heavy for a one and done instal with a wax ring. We did opt to use the new to the market polypropylene ring which allowed us the flexibility to get the unit seated properly without having to buy additional rings. Also, have your smallest handed helper tighten the bolts the clearance in the unit is minimal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the look and features So far, so good. Can't comment too much on installation (co installed...didn't appear to have any problems), durability, reliability, quality, performance as yet (only installed 5 days ago); however, so far, it is performing as advertised. It is very elongated...lots of space inside. It is tall...good height for my 81 yr old mother with back problems to get up and down. Love that it doesn't have the rim around the bottom...less messy appearance and clean up.
