Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by David Great product that fit my needs
This product fit perfectly within my bathroom and this is why I purchased it. I have a countertop in the bathroom with an extended lip that would only allow a shorter toilet tank. This one fit and works wonderfully! The only thing I'd appreciate is that after spending $200 they should have included a seat.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Verified Reviewer Simple installation per the manual
Bought this to replace a 12-year-old low-end Cadet that had accumulated a 1/4" thick layer of brown, hard "crud" in the trap and that required multiple plunges and flushes to clear even moderate loads. The crud was tough enough that it trapped the tip of a closet auger, thus ending the life of the old toilet. Since that crud did not appear in the tank, we're assuming that the "if it's yellow, let it mellow" technique recommended by Denver Water might have caused the crud to precipitate in our hard water and bond to the trap surface. So we've abandoned that method, and hope that the Cadet 3 EverClean trap glaze will further prevent crud accumulation.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by KNEEPAIN Easy to Install
MY WIFE HAD JUST HAD A KNEE REPLACEMENT AND THE DAY BEFORE SHE WAS DISCHARGED FROM THE HOSPITAL SHE DECIDED SHE WANTED AN ADA HEIGHT TOILET IN OUR MASTER BATH. WE ALREADY HAD THAT TYPE OF TOILET IN A 1/2 BATH AND IT WAS MORE COMFORTABLE FOR HER AFTER HER HIP REPLACEMENT 9 MONTHS AGO. I WENT TO [...] THE NEXT MORNING AND THEY HAD BOTH BONE AND WHITE IN STOCK IN THE CADET 3 ADA. AFTER THE OLD TOILET WAS OUT IT TOOK ME APPX 30 MINUTES TO INSTALL THIS NEW TOILET. VERY EASY TO INSTALL, AND WAS ALSO IMPRESSED WITH PACKAGING WHICH IS VERY HEAVY AND STRONG. NOTHING WORSE THAN GETTING A LARGE PRODUCT LIKE THIS HOME FROM THE STORE ONLY TO UNPACK IT AND FIND A CRACK OR BREAK.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CharlesC I love this toilet, and I Iove using too!
This toilet is a great value and does what it needs to do. Things I love about this toilet:
1. Low water usage
2. Strong flushing power
3. Hold the lever down for additional flushing power
4. No clogs. Can flush 5 large hot dogs or 14 golf balls according to the American Standard product video.
5. Attractive, modern, clean look
6. Everclean porcelain stays clean.
7. Extremely easy to install. It was my first toilet install and I had it done in no time. No leaks, no mess.
8. Plastic seat does not stain.
9. Why pay more? Great value.
10. I have 4 more toilets in the house, but unfortunately they are all working well. I wish I had a good reason to change them all.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SoCalGordon American Standard Cadet 3 Toilet - A good choice!
I shopped at the West Covina Store and found Mary in plumbing to be very knowledgeable in helping me pick out the right toilets (2) to purchase. This is a standard type unit with an oversized flapper valve. The slope in the bowl is steep and it dumps just over 1.5 GPF. They handle larger flush requirements than average. (It's big brother will dump a basket of golf balls!) This is an excellent choice for it's price range. Don't forget to ask for Mary - she is both patient and knowledgeable. l enjoyed her sense of humor too! Oh yes, the manager on duty was courteous and helpful so kudo's to him too!

I purchased the Cadet 3 because it was highly recommended by Consumer Report and I found it for a good price in [...] in Calgary. It uses 4.8 litre of water, which is not that much different from the economy flush of most double flush toilets (4.1L). As it is a single flush, the mechanism is presumably much simpler than a double flush toilet. It is rated at 1000MaP, the highest category, and it certainly does appear to work well. It fills quickly after flushing and is very quiet. So far I am very happy with the product. I installed it myself, and I found the instructions very easy to follow.

In store price was 145--comes (nearly) complete. Just make sure you have sealant (silicone or caulk) for the base and the same tools you need to take out the old toilet. Check the supply line to the old toilet before you go--you may need to update this to fit a new toilet if it's really old. Also make sure your old flange is flush with the floor and in good condition. You may need to replace the flange and you may need longer closet bolts if a new floor (esp. tile) raises the floor well above the flange. If so, you'll also need an extra wax ring to make up the space. Other than that, it really is a complete setup--no need to do anything inside the tank. Takes about 20-30 min to install.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by sparky249 This toilet works great
This is a great toilet and was very easy to install. It uses very little water and it flushes great. I would have given it 5 stars except for the fact that the tank was cracked. I did not notice it until I finished the install and found it was leaking. I did not appear to be shipping damage as it was packed very well. In any case, I called Home Depot and they sent out a replacement tank which took about a week to arrive. In the mean time, rather than reinstalling the old toilet I patched the crack using a hot glue gun which worked until I had the new tank. Other than that it is a great toilet.
