Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Demps Easy first-time success installation; rapid flush and quick, quiet refill
You'll spend more time removing the old toilet. Assuming level floor and properly cleaned and positioned flange and water supply tube (neither included), the installation should take 15 to 20 minutes. Everything else that you will need is included (bowl, tank, seat, seal, guts and tools). Comfortable height, more than ample seating (quiet-close seat and lid), and no unintended bidet effect! Compact tank. You can't go wrong with this product.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by KHkh Leak. Installation was easy
I purchase 2 round bowls and they went in pretty good. Removal of the old toilets took much longer than installation of the new ones. The new ones took only 15 minutes. However, this elongated one leaks. Few drops of water pile up and puddle right on the American Standard logo.
Called AS customer service and they said they'll send me couple of new bolts and a gasket for replacement. I saw some other reviews with similar problem and same location of leak. Will see what happens once the replacement parts are in and I replace them. If they don't fix the problem I have to take it back and so it is a hassle just when I thought I was done thinking about the toilets.
I like the universal parts in them that can be replaced easily not like the fancy shmancy toilets that you have to replace the entire toilet if one part needs replacement later on. Who can wait a few weeks for the new parts to arrive.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by KennyB Great toilet, easy to install
Over the years, I've installed many toilets and this one has to have been the easiest to install. While they say 'no tools required', in reality, they just provide you the plastic tools that you need. But very, very simple to install. The box is heavy, so you might need two people to carry it. But the individual pieces aren't too heavy. Just when they are all together in the box. While I wasn't looking for the feature, I was quite surprised to find that the lid is a slow closing lid, so it won't slam shut. I installed this for my elderly mother who really enjoys the taller rim, since this model is ADA compliant. The flush is strong, handle is easy to press, and the tank refills pretty quick. This system has everything you need except a water supply line, so you might consider purchasing one.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by homeownerpdx Starting running every 20 minutes less than 6 months later
This toilet was fine at first, but it randomly started running less than 6 months later. We returned to home depot to see about getting a new flapper. The sales associate told us that this toilet had a known issue with the flapper and several customers had returned (shortly after buying the toilet) to get a new flapper. She said that the flapper usually fixed the issue. We bought a new flapper, installed and the toilet has the same issue. Not sure what to do next, but we'll probably end up calling American Standard Customer Service to see what they tell us to do. I would recommend skipping purchasing this toilet, spending a little bit more money on a different model and not having to deal with a running toilet.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Billy Installed Cadet 2 Piece 1.28 GPF Elong. Toilet
My existing toilet was leaking in my half bath. I bought the toilet based on the ease of installation and "no tools" required. Great product, easy to install. My wife was very happy and impressed that I did this myself. I wish all projects were this easy. And I am getting a rebate for the install from Fulton County GA. Thank you, Home Depot

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sweeterae Solid Water Saving bathroom fixture.
Somewhat easy to install. I bought 2 toilets. One did not have the anchor bolts in the box. I contacted the manufacturer and they mailed them to me(5 days). I already had the existing toilet removed so I made a extra trip to HD for the bolts. The toilet seat mounting bracket is flush with the rim of the toilet. I added a water bidet so I had to add extra bumpers/risers to raise the seat and make it level. Toilet flushes very well and has reduced our water usage. Was 1.6 now at 1.28gpf. Toilet is solid and sturdy and the elongated bowl is easy on my man parts.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Smiles Love the powerful flush!
I love this toilet! Purchased this toilet (Cadet 3) about 3 weeks ago and I like the powerful flush, High seat, awesome price and very easy to install. I am a woman and have never installed a toilet before, but I did w/this one. I purchased the Cadet 4, approx 1 year ago, which was higher priced, and I dont see much of a difference in the two, as far as performance.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by DB811 Not the Best Purchase...
This is a great toilet if all you are considering is water usage, BUT besides that, I have been very disappointed with my purchase. First off, the parts provided are cheap!! My husband installed with no difficulty, but a few hours later, it was leaking where the tank met the seat. He had to go buy rubber gaskets because the plastic ones provided clearly did not work. After our additional parts purchased, there hasn't been a leak. Also, the parts provided to attach the seat are horrible! The plastic nut provided randomly falls off because it is stripped. We will have to buy something else that will keep the seat in place. And lastly, the thing that bothers me most is that when you use the restroom, if your bowel movement does not fall directly into the water, you will be spending 3-4 more flushes trying to get everything down/off the sides of the toilet...gross, I know, but it kind of defeats the purpose of using less water when you're actually having to use more to flush multiple times. I bought this toilet because it had so many reviews with most of them being 5 star, but I have NO clue how that happened. Overall, very disappointed. I wish I would've done more research and bought a different toilet.
