Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by phanders3108 I needed to buy this toilet because of the 10" rough-in. Actually only had 9.5" clearance from the center of the drain to the tiled wall. The toilet fit well with a gap of about 3/8" between the actual toilet and the wall. Installation was very easy to do after I had upgraded the 100 year old drain flange that was below the tiled floor level. Used a spacer that I bought at our big box hardware store and added a plastic flange above that. The toilet has been working well with no major problems. I do have to brush away residue from solid waste occasionally. Overall I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Gator Great just wish the person who put in the original used a 12" instead of a ten. But limited on Space. American Standard is a good product
10 inch is about 1 1/2 times price of a 12 inch only drawback. Outside of price no problems.

Toilet works as an toilet should but for the price this needs to include a toilet seat. I mean who buys a toilet and doesn't use a seat?
I bought a glacier bay toilet for $170 and that had a seat included but in my second bathroom the 12" rough in couldn't fit so was forced to buy a 10"

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by eugene89us Good design and features, lacking quality control
We purchased 2 of these toilets, since we don't have many options for 10-inch rough-in toilets. I wanted to get a toilet with standard parts, so that would make it easier to fix if something went bad. First toilet we received appeared to be good, so I installed it and went on to order a second one. When the second came in, I noticed multiple manufacturing defects - the bowl where it meets the rim had a major hole in it. You could see the light coming from the outside. The tank had a large crack on the side. Shipping boxes were impeccable. So given that, I decided to give the first toilet, which was already installed, a more thorough look. When I looked in the opening which delivers water on the bottom of the bowl, I noticed a ceramic crack. I removed the toilet and noticed that crack was also on the underside, meaning that it was quite close to springing a leak. I returned both toilets for a refund. Given that we pay a premium already just because of non-standard 10-inch rough in, it is very disappointing that American Standard has a poor quality control. Read some more reviews, even for the 12-inch toilet of this brand, and you will see many quality complaints. I wish I listened to these before buying. There is always going to be some complainers even for great products, but this is by far the worst and worthy of 1 star. We purchased 3 Kohlers, and despite non-standard internals, the quality appears much superior on the first examination. Hopefully they will hold up well
