Does this water saving model have the same flushing feature as the regular one? Reviewers said you can hold down the handle for more flush.

Both models of the 10" rough in have the same features, except this one has the water saving feature - 1.28 vs. 1.6 for flushing. What I cannot tell is whether you can hold down the handle for added flush on this water-saving model. I like that idea - kind of like having dual flush buttons!

I installed this toilet and the measurement from the finished wall, not the baseboard, to the center of the toilet drain pipe was 10.5". Sounds tight, I would recommend a 10" and be safe rather than sorry. Item is heavy and would be difficult to return.

It would be a sure bet to go with a 10" rough in toilet, which usually means you have to order one as most stores don't carry them in stock. With your dimensions, a 12" might fit but the tank will be close to the wall and the lid may rub on the wall. The tank usually sets further back than the base footprint, so the baseboard shouldn't be an issue. The dimension from the tank to the wall varies with Read More

The dimension from the tank to the wall varies with different models/brands so it's hard to give a definite answer to this question. The American Standard Cadet does have nice tank to wall clearance, so with this brand a 12" rough in would probably just clear ok. Read Less

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 20 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product but when installing pay attention to the depth from the wall When we purchased the toilet, we found we needed to pay attention to the depth from the wall to the outlet, or hole. We found after buying two 12 inch models, we actually needed a 10". Of course, Home Depot exchanged the unopened 12" model, but when we ordered the 10" model it cost another $100. Thinking it would come from the in-state (Oregon) warehouse, we found it actually came from Georgia. It was interesting to see that its warehouse of origin was trucked in two pieces - one via Illinois, the other via Salt Lake City to southern Oregon. And it took 10 days, one piece arriving 2 days after the first. Regardless, the toilet was easy and very simple to install and just what we needed. We just didn't anticipate the extra expense. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly what I needed My house is very old and I needed a toilet with a 10 inch rough-in and a round bowl (hard to find!) due to a small space. I also wanted a toilet that was energy efficient and comfort height, and this toilet fits the bill. The flush is SO quiet. I was worried that the energy efficient toilet would not be strong enough, but this toilet has plenty of power. Well worth every penny. January 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install Cadet 3 toilet installs easily and flushes well. Although the 10 inch layout was not in production at the time I received notification when it became available after a month of waiting. August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Flushing power, great for small space, comfort height Needed a 10" rough in for a new bathroom install. Pretty expensive but hey when you need a 10" what else can you do. When I ordered I was told a delivery date 2 months out. Luckily it came in about 2 weeks. Did not come with a seat, but did have a wax ring. Like the comfort height. Only problem in design is where the water supply line connects to the tank. It is such a tight space that I could not turn the connector end because the 2 longer plastic fins on the end of the supply line would not clear the bowl. Easy enough to file them down to the length of the other tabs. Other option would be to install the supply line on the tank before attaching the tank to the bowl, but that's not how the instructions read. Makes you wonder if anyone at American Standard ever put one of these together. July 23, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overpriced, easy to install Bought this because I was putting it into a small bathroom and thought I might need a 10" rough in. I did not, I could have used a 12" and saved $100. There was a small blemish on the top surface of the bowl. Don't think it was from shipping but toilet was dropped off without signature or chance to inspect the contents. Blemish was small and would not have sent contents back, but think a $300+ toilet should NOT have blemish. Very easy to install, Sig. other appreciates the extra height and self cleaning issues. No adjustments were needed. My second American Standard and will probably buy another this summer when I renovate the basement bathroom. They work and they flush everything. April 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tiny But Mighty! :-) It looks cute and works very well. I have an older house, so the bathroom is very small and I loved how it fit perfectly. March 2, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Toilet Easy installation. Like the higher height. Only thing I have a problem with is the price...just because it is a 10" rough in, the price is about a $100.00 more than the 12" rough in, no wax ring, no seat. Have bought two 12" rough in for a newer house, one Kohler and one American Standard, and both came with a seat and wax ring. Guess when this house was built, there were only 10" and that can't be changed. This toilet works good and to our satisfaction. It's a good product. February 10, 2016
