Yes. I am 5'1" and it's taller that I like. My feet can touch the floor, but I prefer a lower seat. Anyone shorter than me probably cannot touch.

Answer:
An ADA compliant toilet (Right Height) will have a rim height of 16-1/2" which is about 1-1/2" higher than a standard toilet. Depending on your leg length, your feet probably won't rest flat on the floor while seated. Some people experience a level of discomfort when their feet dangle. I'm 5'10 with a 30" inseam, and use a 1-1/2" thick step block for a foot rest.

Answer:
This bowl stands 16.5" from the rim to the floor, this will be pretty high for atoddler because once you add the seat that would add an additional 1.5'-2" in height.

This seal prevents sewer gas from entering your home. Many clogs happen in the trap way. Most toilets are only glazed as far as you can see from the bowl. A glazed surface is very smooth compared to an unfinished ceramic surface - to compare look at the inside and outside of the tank. This enables a higher percentage of clog free flushing with less water. I was an industrial facility/maintenance mgr. for many years. At one of my facilities, we had a frequent clogging issue due to people flushing paper towels, napkins, etc. We replaced the original toilets -over 20- with this model. There were no more clogging issues with this toilet, and our water use dropped significantly. I replaced the toilets in my home with this model and would highly recommend it. Read Less

I'm not sure what the throat diameter is. I can tell you that it is the first one I have ever seen that is this difficult to clog. I have seen it take a rather large amount of solids with no issue at all.

Fits standard toilet flange. The flushing works very efficiently even with a major #2 deposit. It is the best flushing toilet I've ever had. It is as effective as the toilets that have the pressure flush system, but without the annoying loud noise.

Answer:
You won't need a replacement flange unless the original is damaged. A wax seal only cost about $2. If the new toilet comes with one, a replacement is good to have on hand. If you do end up with an extra seal, store it in a cool place or it will melt.

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 51 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for narrow spaces Really nice, efficient and quiet toilet/tank combination. The tank is narrow and the operating buttons on top of it, so the toilet can fit in tight spaces. I find the toilet to be 1 inch too tall (with the seat). I am about 5' 10" tall. One criticism: The area under the rim of the toilet (from where the water comes out) is not coated with shiny porcelain. This could allow bacteria build up. Made in Mexico October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by American Standard Cadet 3, Dual Flush, 2-piece Right Height Toilet. I had a professional "Union" trained Plumber do the job. The Plumber's Union has trained professionals who actually know what they are doing and their training is uniform across the USA. I was a building inspector for a municipality in Northern California and have seen nothing but the best work done by Union trained people. I love this toilet because it does not clog even under hard use by a big family. October 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by THE DUAL FLUSH MAY BE GOOD AFTER ALL... I bought The American Standard Cadet 3 dual flush in error, since I really wanted the single flush; however, I decided to keep it and it was installed without any problems. It looks good and so far - after two weeks - it is performing well. As per the instructions, using the two buttons saves water; however, using just the one takes care of a bigger flush. The user determines which to use depending of the need. Both the seat and the lid slowly close if prompted to do so. I realize this is to soon to write a review but will update if there are any changes; hence, my recommendation is based on the description above without the proof of time. July 13, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by do research before buying Good for smaller bathroom types. Worked just one flush and tank wouldn't stop filling. Fill valve wouldn't shut off. Rather then uninstalling the whole toliet and returning it, for 10 bucks bought a new fill valve. Porcelain finish isn't the grestest and seat is cheap plastic. Made in Mexico with a name of American Standard???? Should have researched more before buying. September 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sleek model, quiet flush Toilet is narrow enough to fit nicely in a small space with room for wastebasket & toilet brush on the side. At first, the number 1 flush wouldn't flush all of the toilet paper but a slight adjustment to the water fill level took care of that. I'm impressed with how quiet it is compared to my old toilet! My only complaint is that the 'right height' is a bit too tall for me. I'm almost 5'4" but when barefoot, my feet don't sit flat on the ground when using the toilet. Short people beware. August 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good throne This cadet replaced a glacier bay water tray toilet which gave out standing performance for 15 + years... Eventually the G.B. just stopped flushing solids due to the siphon holes clogging from calcium carbonate. The cadet is a great set up and works good. We are happy with the glaze on the bowl, & the dual flush ...this feature sold my wife.. simple is good yet this works better than old technogy ...we are happy! August 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bought two more.. Doing some bathroom re-models and I installed one of these in the master bath. Very easy install (6 screws), very easy water adjustments which took a few seconds and a few test flushes. Looks great, flushes amazingly well. I've heard that some of the new .92/1.29 gpf toilets don't do a good job cleaning but this one with the 1.0 / 1.6 gpf works very well. And so quiet! Bought two more for the other bathrooms. (kids love the push buttons) August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Toilet does not clog My old toilet depended on gravity to flush, and clogged all the time. The Cadet 3 shoots the flush water directly into the outlet, creating a water jet that clears the bowl quickly and completely. It is so good that I replaced the toilet in my 2nd bathroom also. It comes with all hardware, including a wax ring with plastic flange, and a soft close toilet lid. The dual flush should also save on my water bill. As a DIY homeowner for 45 years, I recommend this toilet. August 8, 2016
