Yes. I am 5'1" and it's taller that I like. My feet can touch the floor, but I prefer a lower seat. Anyone shorter than me probably cannot touch.

Answer:
An ADA compliant toilet (Right Height) will have a rim height of 16-1/2" which is about 1-1/2" higher than a standard toilet. Depending on your leg length, your feet probably won't rest flat on the floor while seated. Some people experience a level of discomfort when their feet dangle. I'm 5'10 with a 30" inseam, and use a 1-1/2" thick step block for a foot rest.

Answer:
This bowl stands 16.5" from the rim to the floor, this will be pretty high for atoddler because once you add the seat that would add an additional 1.5'-2" in height.

This seal prevents sewer gas from entering your home. Many clogs happen in the trap way. Most toilets are only glazed as far as you can see from the bowl. A glazed surface is very smooth compared to an unfinished ceramic surface - to compare look at the inside and outside of the tank. This enables a higher percentage of clog free flushing with less water. I was an industrial facility/maintenance mgr. for many years. At one of my facilities, we had a frequent clogging issue due to people flushing paper towels, napkins, etc. We replaced the original toilets -over 20- with this model. There were no more clogging issues with this toilet, and our water use dropped significantly. I replaced the toilets in my home with this model and would highly recommend it. Read Less

I'm not sure what the throat diameter is. I can tell you that it is the first one I have ever seen that is this difficult to clog. I have seen it take a rather large amount of solids with no issue at all.

I don't know but it has never clogged like my old American Standard low flow toilet. Solids can pass in 1/2 flush mode and fully flushes in full mode.

Fits standard toilet flange. The flushing works very efficiently even with a major #2 deposit. It is the best flushing toilet I've ever had. It is as effective as the toilets that have the pressure flush system, but without the annoying loud noise.

Answer:
You won't need a replacement flange unless the original is damaged. A wax seal only cost about $2. If the new toilet comes with one, a replacement is good to have on hand. If you do end up with an extra seal, store it in a cool place or it will melt.

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 44 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by THE DUAL FLUSH MAY BE GOOD AFTER ALL... I bought The American Standard Cadet 3 dual flush in error, since I really wanted the single flush; however, I decided to keep it and it was installed without any problems. It looks good and so far - after two weeks - it is performing well. As per the instructions, using the two buttons saves water; however, using just the one takes care of a bigger flush. The user determines which to use depending of the need. Both the seat and the lid slowly close if prompted to do so. I realize this is to soon to write a review but will update if there are any changes; hence, my recommendation is based on the description above without the proof of time. July 13, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Solid toilet, like the dual flush Seems like a great toilet. We put it in our basement during a bathroom remodel and have been using it for a few months now. No issues with install or performance. I really like the dual flush so you can feel like you are saving water when you can. The only thing I don't like (and why I didn't give it 5 stars) is the length of the bowl. It is supposed to be elongated but it certainly doesn't feel very elongated when being used. Overall the unit feels like a quality product. June 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does the job It's a toilet, gets the job done, two installed in new home. No problem with the flush valves so far. We're a taller couple and height is nice, actually wish there were even higher ones available for common purchase. No problems with handling the "job" so far, even the lower gallon flush handles things when pushing wrong button. Wife with pretty severe arthritis loves the button flush. June 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good working toilet I have had one Cadet Dual Flush for about a year and just bought another. Neither one worked correctly out of the box. I had to do a lot of fiddling with the two floats in the bowl and the buttons on top. After getting it tuned the toilet worked great. Many times I have hit button 1 when I should have hit button two and the bowl gets clear just fine. If it is not flushing completely with a push of the button, adjust the screws under the buttons. If it runs of and on there adjust the water level float if it is too high it will slowly leak water into the bowl. May 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Toilet works fine These are good toilets. The reviews that talk about poor flushing and other problems Im sure are not able to simply adjust the fill valves, or adjust the mechanism in the toilet tanks. Its a simple install and a great toilet. I have three of these and they work fine for a family of 4, two girls two boys with lots of use. Water softeners are always a good idea to keep the toilet tank parts from liming up and malfunctioning. Many reviewers blame there toilets for hard water caused malfunctions. I would say these toilets could be more susceptible to hard water issues than cheap standard toilets. March 26, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Flaw in bowl Very easy to install. Strong flush and the dual flush saves water. There was a flaw at the bottom of the bowl that was not obvious until it was filled with water. March 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love it Good flushing capacity. Not too wide. Simple, timeless design. February 13, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Just don't buy it... I bought three of these on sale roughly one year ago. At first the toilets worked flawlessly, however, after 7 or 8 months of use, the toilets started leaking. This isn't noticeable however, what is noticeable is the fact that the toilet starts to fill up by itself after several hours of no use. Oddly enough, this still uses less water than my previous toilets, however, I believe that things should just work as advertised. Maybe I am just old fashioned in that sense. Don't be fooled by those who write reviews after owning the toilet for just one or two months, it just hasn't happened to them yet. I am working with customer service on a solution however, if I had purchased another brand of toilet, I would not have to deal with this now. Save yourself a headache. October 19, 2015
