Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by CoHippie Sleek model, quiet flush
Toilet is narrow enough to fit nicely in a small space with room for wastebasket & toilet brush on the side. At first, the number 1 flush wouldn't flush all of the toilet paper but a slight adjustment to the water fill level took care of that. I'm impressed with how quiet it is compared to my old toilet! My only complaint is that the 'right height' is a bit too tall for me. I'm almost 5'4" but when barefoot, my feet don't sit flat on the ground when using the toilet. Short people beware.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by WKuser THE DUAL FLUSH MAY BE GOOD AFTER ALL...
I bought The American Standard Cadet 3 dual flush in error, since I really wanted the single flush; however, I decided to keep it and it was installed without any problems. It looks good and so far - after two weeks - it is performing well. As per the instructions, using the two buttons saves water; however, using just the one takes care of a bigger flush. The user determines which to use depending of the need. Both the seat and the lid slowly close if prompted to do so. I realize this is to soon to write a review but will update if there are any changes; hence, my recommendation is based on the description above without the proof of time.

Doing some bathroom re-models and I installed one of these in the master bath. Very easy install (6 screws), very easy water adjustments which took a few seconds and a few test flushes. Looks great, flushes amazingly well. I've heard that some of the new .92/1.29 gpf toilets don't do a good job cleaning but this one with the 1.0 / 1.6 gpf works very well. And so quiet! Bought two more for the other bathrooms. (kids love the push buttons)

This cadet replaced a glacier bay water tray toilet which gave out standing performance for 15 + years...
Eventually the G.B. just stopped flushing solids due to the siphon holes clogging from calcium carbonate.
The cadet is a great set up and works good. We are happy with the glaze on the bowl, & the dual flush ...this feature sold my wife.. simple is good yet this works better than old technogy ...we are happy!

My old toilet depended on gravity to flush, and clogged all the time. The Cadet 3 shoots the flush water directly into the outlet, creating a water jet that clears the bowl quickly and completely. It is so good that I replaced the toilet in my 2nd bathroom also. It comes with all hardware, including a wax ring with plastic flange, and a soft close toilet lid. The dual flush should also save on my water bill. As a DIY homeowner for 45 years, I recommend this toilet.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by peat14 Solid toilet, like the dual flush
Seems like a great toilet. We put it in our basement during a bathroom remodel and have been using it for a few months now. No issues with install or performance. I really like the dual flush so you can feel like you are saving water when you can. The only thing I don't like (and why I didn't give it 5 stars) is the length of the bowl. It is supposed to be elongated but it certainly doesn't feel very elongated when being used. Overall the unit feels like a quality product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Steve Does the job
It's a toilet, gets the job done, two installed in new home. No problem with the flush valves so far. We're a taller couple and height is nice, actually wish there were even higher ones available for common purchase.
No problems with handling the "job" so far, even the lower gallon flush handles things when pushing wrong button. Wife with pretty severe arthritis loves the button flush.

I have had one Cadet Dual Flush for about a year and just bought another. Neither one worked correctly out of the box. I had to do a lot of fiddling with the two floats in the bowl and the buttons on top. After getting it tuned the toilet worked great. Many times I have hit button 1 when I should have hit button two and the bowl gets clear just fine.
If it is not flushing completely with a push of the button, adjust the screws under the buttons. If it runs of and on there adjust the water level float if it is too high it will slowly leak water into the bowl.
