Customer Questions & Answers

How can we stop the leak from one of the bolt areas of the tank?

We just recently installed a champion 4 max toilet and have a leak coming from one side if the tank. It appears to be coming from the bolt, but it could be I guess coming from somewhere else and running down the bolt making it appear that the leak is where bolt is. The bolt is tight as can be so we are trying to figure out what is the best course of action that we should do to try to stop this leak without total removal and return of the product.

As others have said, make sure the leak isn't coming from the blue flapper ring, which appears to be a common problem with this toilet. I bought a new ring, but still didn't fix the problem. Then, sandwiched the old and new rings together before re-installing. And like magic, leak stopped. So my suggestion is order a new ring, and use the old and new together. It's about a 10-minute job.

Is the flush loud or quiet? Our bedroom is adjacent to the bathroom. Thanks.

I had to replace mine for a different model because it would not hold water but when it had water and worked correctly, the flush was very fast and fairly quiet. The bathroom is the master bathroom

Now that I have had it for a few years I am reducing it to 1 star. First problem.. unless you hold the handle down all of the way the toilet does not flush... it half flushes so you have to wait for the tank to refill and flush again. Second problem... defective seal causing the toilet to run. I had no idea how much water I was wasting until it was fixed. Thankfully, a quick internet search told me that a lot of people had problems with the seal. I have had to replace the seal on two of my four toilets. The latest problem is by far the worst problem as now the toilet is inoperable. It has a hairline crack down the front of the tank and is leaking water onto the hardwood floor. This is yet another known defect in these toilets but unless you have the receipt the warranty will not be honored. Very disappointed that I bought FOUR of these toilets. The only good news is that I didn't put these toilets in a rental property out of state as I had planned to do before the running became an issue.

I had a plumber try to set this up and when the toilet flushed, about 90 minutes later the toilet bowl would have practically no water in it. You would have to flush twice to get rid of any waste. Even if it was only a couple of sheet of toile paper. I bought a CADET3 elongated toilet and it worked as expected and single flush. I will be returning this model back for a refund this week

We installed American Standard 17" toilets in our other 2 bathrooms 5 years ago, so we were already pleased with the brand. This toilet met all of my expectations. The water efficiency is superb, the flushes are efficient, and we haven't had to double-flush even once since we have used it (only 2 weeks). The 16.5" height is much more comfortable for my 6'4" husband than the older model. I especially like the round front for this smaller bathroom; it allows more room to open the door wider. The self-closing lids on our other 2 toilets spoiled us, so now we have that on this toilet, too. All-around excellent purchase!

Some would think I'm nuts for saying it was a blessing to have my toilet tank crack, but it was. I researched many brands and styles reading review after review. I had my mind made up and while at Home Depot picking up my toilet, a coworker had 2 of this same model on a cart. He said he had to replace one that broke a month prior in his house and was so pleased he decided to replace his other 2. He was right. It only takes 1 flush. No more plunger, no more 3 flush sending of materials down the drain. I am amazed. The seat height is awesome especially with a sore back. Although it is not a good height for young children just remember they don't stay small for too long and a stool would be suffice if needed. I look forward to my next water bill to see the difference. If ample enough savings I too may replace my other toilets with this model.

Remodeling a bathroom and I'm replacing an older toilet with this high efficiency model. I'm always a bit leery when they say high efficiency and low water consumption but this one truely does both. Simple and attractive, comes complete with every thing you need including the wax seal. Complete and easy to understand instructions. But most importantly it works great, is super quiet and fast, and uses less water. Felt funny writing a reveiw for a toilet but being as pleased as I am I was compelled. This was a great purchase!!

It is easy to install without tools and has clear directions. I choose the round seat because I have small bathrom. I am planning to sell the house so a name brand was the reason I bought it. I have another high oval seat from another company which is more comfortable to sit on. I would always chose the oval shape if I had room. In order to flush properly you need to hold the handle down the whole time, if not you have to flush again. Never had this issue with any other toilet. The cover and seat are ok but lightweight. Check consumer reports for less expensive models that perform as well if name brand is not important.

When I first installed this, it flushed fine, but now when you flush it, it does not refill without having to take off the lid and move the fill lever. Works great when it works, but should not be doing this.
