excellent product but for the money it should include the toilet seat. Ridiculous the seat is sold seperately

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Toolman2 Excellent performance
Our former 3 gallon toilet often required two flushes. This one flushes thoroughly every time with just 1.28 gallons. Have also removed the toilet plunger from bathroom. Extremely pleased with performance of product.
The only thing I would get picky about is the sharp pointy flush handle. Seems a bit user unfriendly.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Roy Easy to Install. Works great
The product was damaged in shipment on the first attempt. I was given a 10% discount to reorder. It was a hassle getting the store to give me a refund, but finally got a gift card as a refund. The color match is not exact, but it is the closest I was able to find.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by JimmyMc american standard little secret
The reason I wouldn't recommend this product is because it is made by American standard. I am in my early 60's and bought Amer.Stand.Products my whole life. Approx.10 years ago when installing a bathroom I bought a "Williamsburg" 1 piece toilet from home depot. After approx. 11/2 years the customer called seeking help to find a new toilet seat .After searching all over I called AmStandard and was told this was a special seat that cost $225.00.. The lady from the company couldn't believe it either. The Home Depot should let customers know the seat cost more than the bowl. Most of the blame though should go to American Standard. I am now replacing another of the same bowl and will NEVER buy AmStandard again..I tell all contractors this story that I know and many keep it in the back of there minds. Thank You , a former American Standard customer. Jim Mc.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by DrTom53 Poor link between American Standard website and Home Depot
I would be raving except for two things: I searched out a new toilet on the American Standard website and then clicked the "Buy Now at Home Depot" button. But what I missed was that it took me to a slightly different product. Shame on me for not checking the product number more carefully, but there is a slight mismatch anyway between product numbers on the two websites related to that part of the number which stands for the color. What I clicked on at the American Standard website was a complete toilet package which included a seat (worth about $40). What I got at Home Depot was just the toilet, no seat. And because Home Depot adds more packaging when it ships to the store (this toilet is not available in the store) I didn't open the outer boxes. So basically I'm happy with the toilet, just disappointed that I didn't get what I clicked on. Also, there was a nice set of flange bolts in the box with the bowl, but they were loose and I didn't find them until after I had installed the toilet, but that's really American Standards packaging shortcoming, not Home Depot. Bottom line: good product and good service by Home Depot, weak link between websites.

My Briggs Vacuity toilet finally gave up so I purchased the Champion based on many positive reviews. Almost everything needed came in the box. Unfortunately my old supply line was not long enough so back to the store one more time. Assembly was strait forward. You do not need extra tools to assemble but It goes together easier with proper tools rather than the make-shift tools furnished.
Once assembled I turned on the water and it filled and flushed correctly. My tank water level was set a bit high but this was easily adjusted.
The Champion comes with a self closing, no slam, seat. Unfortunately the seat reclines you slightly backwards as you sit on it and it's an unusual position to get used to. If we cannot get used to this we will have to replace with a normal seat.
The most important feature of any toilet is the flush. The Champion has a special valve that gives a very positive, "Wooosh" sound when you flush. Although we have yet to real life test if you go by sound alone with a large wad of TP the Champion looks to live up to expectations.
The only negative is although removed from a sealed box the toilet was dirty as if it sat around in the factory for a while before being packaged, QC screwed up on this one. Fortunately all it took was a couple flushes and brushing to clean it up.

This toilet is noisy and uncomfortable. While the seat is terrible, the toilet isn't much better and not comfortable at all. It is too high. I am a short person and find myself exacerbating how awful the seat is because I'm canted at such a precarious angle. Do not like it at all. Plus is is very noisy,
