Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MattBuild Great Toilet
This was the second Champion Toilet I installed. I was hesitant last year because I had heard bad things about low flush toilets (having to flush multiple times, etc.). However after one year the toilet has been great - no problems at all. It is quick and quiet on the refill. The installation is truly half an hour tops. It is a great value.

Best install I've ever had as I had it installed for me. Worth the price.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DIYer1224 Replacement of Old Toilet
I finally made the decision to replace the toilet in the Master Bathroom. The old toilet was stained and prone to clogging. My wife and I researched several different toilets and talked to The Home Depot employee. We went with the Champion 4 Max because of the different features that it had (Toilet Height, Max flushing capability, and the ability to reduce stains and stay cleaner). I am an average DIYer and the tools were provided that I needed. It was a one person job !! I think it took me about one hour to replace the existing toilet.
I would highly recommend the product that absorbs the remaining water left in the toilet so that you can avoid spilling out that water when you remove the existing toilet.
We have been using the toilet since June 15 and have not had any problems and are really happy with the purchase.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bones Impressed!
I'm "old school" when it comes to toilets; I always thought that more water equals a better flush. Seeing how high water volume toilets are no longer being manufactured I had to settle for a current "high efficiency" toilet. I did my research and decided to buy this American Standard 4 Max toilet due to the larger diameter down-flow passageway. Boy, was I surprised & impressed at how this thing flushes with so little water. I made the right choice and am very happy with the results. Installation was easy & comes with all of the hardware needed.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Jim American Standard Champion 4 Max elongated toilet
I selected this toilet because it was highly recommended by Consumer Reports. The installation was easy and efficient. However I am disappointed in the flushing function. It usually flushes ok, however not always. So you have to always watch and listen to determine if you have to flush it a second time. Other than that it's ok.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Morrison Residue Sticks to the Bowl
Quick but not a clean flush. The website will not let me say the actual word so I have to use "residue" Residue sticks to the sides of the bowl after flushing. It's a quick flush, yes, and maybe it really does flush golf balls, but lets face it, we don't produce golf balls. The water level is low, and not enough water comes down from the rim to assure a clean flush. It's quick though. But even a second flush doesn't do it. Will need to keep a bowl brush by the side - ugh. The toilet looks great though. But the seat is not that comfortable as it has a rounded form to it so it doesn't really conform to the buttocks. And leaning back, you hit the rim of the cover. So it is a disappointment. But it is installed now, so be it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ray53 Great product and a great price
I made the online purchase and picked them up at the store 3hrs later. Not being very plumbing savy, I hired a contractor to remove and dispose of the older toilets and install the new models. BIG differences, not only in height but also water consumption. This product is everything it is advertised to do. It comes with all mounting hardware, seals, seats and cover. It's a 2 piece unit and is about 2 inches deeper than my old units. All in all, a great product that lives up to the American Standard reputation. Home Depot online and store personnel were the best.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Woody Quality control is lacking
The toilet seemed to be fine & have some nice features, BUT it leaked, apparently through fine cracks in the base, invisible from the outside. I set it four times using a different type of ring seal at the flange each time, and each time it leaked. I called in a plumber and he found some fine cracks around a rough spot on the underside of the ceramic base. I returned this one and bought a different toilet from the plumber and it has worked fine.
