Answer:
This seat slopes into the center. Obviously the outside edge is curved as well and the seat is somewhat narrower at the back than in front (but the lid does not narrow and covers the seat and bowl completely). Hope that helps.

I have a Glacier Bay toliet model # N2316. Would like to know if they offer a "slow close", elongated closed toliet seat? If not, could I use another brand such as American Standard? Thanks

I installed my slow close American Standard seat on a 50 year old Crane toilet. It fits fine. Toilet bowls are, for the most part, a standard size whether round or elongated.

Today's toilet sizes are pretty much standardized. An American Std. , or any other slow closer described as an "elongated" should fit your toilet.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 100 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Save your money Easy to install. Worked perfect for about 13 months, no one forcing the lid down, then the lid just fell one morning. Seat still works but cannot support weight of the lid for the slow close. Manufacturer offers no help and no recommendations as to the repair of it. They suggest replacement of the unit. Pretty expensive, dying after one year of life. Stay away from this bad piece of poor engineering unless you want to replace it every year or so. May 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent toilet seat The toilet seat is easy to install and closes very slowly and quietly. It is also very comfortable. May 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent toilet seat I bought this American Standard toilet seat based on price and peer reviews. It did not disappoint. I picked up the seat at a local home depot and installed in no time. Seat is comfortable and good looking. I am very happy with the purchase. April 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install Well packaged and very easy to install............................................... March 29, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice but narrow and a bit short. We bought this toilet seat for our Kohler toilet. The toilet seat is an unusual shape; the opening is more narrow than standard size. It's also about 1/4 inch shy of covering the front rim of the toilet. I suspect it was designed to use that 1/4 inch gap to hold the toilet seat lid (to make it more secure when you sit with the lid down). The seat is a little small but it works for us. My five year old is transitioning from a child seat to adult seat and this one fits her. The soft close seat and lid work well. The appearance of the seat with the lid down is very clean and streamlined. The toilet seat lid is also sturdy enough to sit on. The seat is comfy but narrow feeling. I would not recommend it for a large sized person. March 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to clean and stays cleaner than the old one The American Standard toilet was a good purchase.Does everything it is suppose to. Uses little water and so easy to clean February 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PETS AND SMALL CHILDREN ALSO MR. EGGMAN ARE SAFE ONCE AGAIN As you might garner from the summary title, the main reason you would want a slow closing toilet seat lid, is if you have small children or pets, you will never have to worry about their heads/neck getting hurt by a falling seat. Instillation was easy. Does just as it states, slow closing. OK, I know your wondering about Mr. Egg-man, when i was little I took raw eggs and put them on the toilet seat, then I would take the lid and slam it down to make egg art in the toilet bowl. Needless to say, my mother did not appreciate art, and my seat got slammed a few times as well.. November 4, 2013
