Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SteveWinTX Good toilet but not perfect
It is a decent well made toilet, but I do not like the attachment from the tank to the bowl, the tank wobbles a bit and the instructions specifically say not to over tighten the attachment bolts for fear of breaking the porcelain.
Also, it does not come with a seat, wax ring, closet bolts or fill pipe, so add them to the overall cost.
But it works, it's quiet and looks good...

Product seems to operate fine. Does not come with seat cover. Shipping packaging is an issue -received damaged once, no protection on top of the tank cover in the boxes. Second order had box crushed but fortunately no damage. Toilet functions well to date. Still waiting for replacement three weeks later.

The toilet arrived a couple of days early, which was great. This toilet replaced another American Standard toilet which I purchased about a year ago. It was a disaster - you could flush golf balls but not toilet paper! Then, with less than a year after purchase, it started leaking at the flush valve. I couldn't find replacement gaskets at the time and got so aggravated, I ordered the Colony model, which had a standard flapper flush valve (easy to replace). So far, after an easy replacement, this toilet has been working well. I found out that the other toilet had a lot of bad reviews - the same problems I had. Good lesson, don't buy one unless it has been reviewed and rated. When I purchased it
, it had no reviews because it was a new, expensive model.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by AJ Colony toilet, weak flush
After installing this toilet, had no leaks, but the flushing action was very poor. Exchanged it for a Cadet 3.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Grampa American Standard Colony Toilet
The toilet does not clean well when flushing, requiring a second flush and many times cleaning with a brush. It also does not come with a toilet seat therefore is more expensive.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by connie poor choice, very disappointed
The toilet arrived without a seat or lid. The fill valve is leaking badly. The manager at Home Depot said he will contact American Standard to get this fixed.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CtheDIYer Saves lots of water, great price if you take advantage of rebate
Recommend only if you are concerned with saving water, and your city offers rebate for this toilet. The city I live in offered rebate, that's why I bought it. Personally, I'm used to 1.6 GPF, with a more powerful flush. I was amazed, however, the flushing sound is near silent, uses very little water for stage 1 flush for #1. Stage 2 flush for #2 releases water from under the rim in a swirling motion, cleans entire bowl, but, amount of water is less than I am used to, it's not a bad thing, just less than I am used to. Both flushes are faster than I'm used to. I have American Standard Cadet 4 in another house which are GREAT, BEST TOILET EVER, but taller 17 inch seat height. I have Pro-Flo in another house which are GREAT for flushing, but splashes water up, standard seat height. Not good when doing courtesy flushes, my buttocks gets a little splash sometimes. This Colony Toilet is GREAT, saves water, no splashing, rebate, and standard seat height. You will need to purchase wax ring (or newer type rubber gasket seal), and a toilet seat.
