I am totally happy and relieved that this toilet lives up to it's reputation, not knowing exactly what to expect. I researched many 1.28 gal/flush toilets, starting with the independent MaP ratings. American Standard had many models with the highest ratings (1000), but this compact, nice looking toilet was perfect for my traditional and small bathroom. I also read the many online Home Depot reviews, which gave it an excellent rating. I've had it only a month, but I can already see that it flushes just about as good as my old 3.5 gal/flush toilet did. The only advantage of the old toilet is the continuous swirling action may clean the bowl better when there's a "big load", but you can always flush twice if necessary, but it's not often necessary. I expect to see a big savings in my water bill, and I also expect to receive a $125 rebate from my city for replacing a 3.5 with a 1.28 GPF toilet. I decided to go with the Home Depot limited-time installation special ($79), and they did the work efficiently in about an hour. I would definitely buy another one of these.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Keen Defective design : have to flush twice
I had a Cadet 3 2-piece toilet before and I had a really good experience as it flushed perfectly fine. However this Cadet 3 FloWise one-piece toilet is frustrating.
The toilet looks good, but the flush is weak and it will not completely flush. Like the other reviewer said, even for liquid it'd still leave toilet paper around. It's just unsightly.
I tried the trick to hold 2-3 secs on the lever and it helped. But you have to keep reminding guests to do that and this is embarrassing. I'm paying a lot more than the 2-piece toilet w/ this poor performance. This is just not acceptable.
I consider this a defective design. Not a buy. AS needs to fix it before I'd buy any of these gravity-flush FloWise toilets again.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by namecnassianer An excellent product, but the price needs to come down.
One-piece construction eliminates one failure point and eliminates the need to align the top and bottom portions.
The large area of the base spans uneven floors very well and allows a very stable mounting to the floor.
The very large trap design makes for a quick, water-efficient flush.
The no-slam toilet seat is an excellent idea.
Styling? I like the styling, but some may not.
The price is high. Hopefully, when more people start buying this unit, the price will come down. I want to install the same toilet in other bathrooms.

We bought 2. This toilet is just as they described however some of the "Everclean" coating was missing on the underside of each of the 2 toilets. $340 seems a little expensive for a toilet. They use much less water than the ones we had previously &, to date, we have not had any clogs :)

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Keen Caveat : 2 flushing modes (undocumented) for Cadet 3 and Champion toilets - Pls read
I bought a Cadet 3 Compact one-piece toilet.
I had trouble having a complete flush for solids w/ lots of toilet paper. Even for liquid w/ toilet paper around top area of the rim it might not flush down completely.
When I contacted AS, they mentioned there are 2-modes of operations on the lever::
1. Press and release = 1.2 gpf
2. Press and hold 3 secs = 1.5 gpf
They said for solid and case where toilet paper is around rim area near the top, they'd recommend use Option 2 on the lever (press and hold 3 secs) so there'd be enough water to flush properly w/ models having 3-inch flush valve.
The rep said this is also true for Champion models as well as the Cadet 3 models.
I assume this is true for all FloWise Cadet 3/Champion models.
If you're ok w/ this practice then it's a buy.
