Customer Questions & Answers

Halfway up the stem of the spout water is leaking out when the faucet is turned on. Is there an O ring that needs to replace if so how as I cannot get the stem apart.

Asked by: Pugwash
Please see attached repair parts diagram. You will need to unthread the bottom of the spout and lift off to get to the o ring.

My faucet is leaking and when I removed the spout it appears water is coming up from the diverted. I changed the O ring ( not sure if it was the same thickness) and it still leaks when water builds up in the spout and drips from the aerator. Can you help?

Asked by: John D
If it is leaking from the center spout connection, we would suggest replacing the o-ring and clip with the original parts. O-ring: 073542-0070A, and Clip: 923012-0070A

Water flow through my culinaire started out good but is now very low. Cleaned and even removed flow strainer, replaced hot and cold valves -neither helped. Water pressure from house plumbing is good. Does not matter whether hot or cold or both.???

Our CULINAIRE TWO HANDLE KITCHEN  faucet has sudden developed a slow drip.  Seems like a simple repair but not sure what to replace. Have the specs and directions... a lot of parts!  Just know which one to replace.

Asked by: Annkerwin
The valve cartridges will need to be replaced.

Customer Reviews

Culinaire 12 in. 2-Handle Side Sprayer Bridge Kitchen Faucet in Polished Chrome-DISCONTINUED is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gorgeous but leaky :(!!!! This faucet is the absolute most gorgeous, vintage- looking faucet in the polished chrome and as we have an original 1940's porcelain huge sink, this faucet is visually the most perfect complement to our kept-vintage kitchen. HOWEVER :(!!! The juncture between the two components of the vertical portion which screw together leak and drip down into my kitchen cupboard below and have ruined the wood of my cupboard, and this faucet is only 1 1/2 years old :(!!! I'm very stressed because I fear that it will be ruined if it needs to be removed and screwed together tighter, and at that price, this should last me a few decades at least :/!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid brass. No plastic. The real McCoy. The looks and feel of this faucet is worth the $200.00 more paid over less quality faucets. Time will tell if the seals and gaskets hold up longer then it's less priced counterparts.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Look for old kitchen.... I bought this faucet because I was remodeling an 18th century kitchen. I wanted this look and it was the only one I could find at the time. It had the look I wanted but after only 2 years it began to drip. American Standard sent repair parts right away and were great to deal with but now I am spending time finding the diagrams of the faucet so I can replace them. They should have been included. Also the hot/cold caps cracked within the first few months of use. Good thing I like old things...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty but... This is a very lovely looking faucet and made very sturdy and is heavy, but it continually dripped, probably due to the style of it and also it got very hot when using the hot water, making it difficult to hold the sprayer for long. It was also rather splashy because of the height.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hot/Cold Index Buttons crack We love this faucet overall but our hot/cold index buttons cracked as well. We will likely replace with the brushed nickel button for more durability. Recommend the faucet but not the model with the hot/cold buttons.
