I bought this drain for one of my rentals and had a big problem with the lower tailpiece which I reported on July 29, 2016. I am about to install another tub and needed a drain. I remember that I really liked the metal parts and the way they worked. I thought about the experience I had had and decided to see if my experience was a fluke or if others had the experience. Reading through the reviews I found no others with my experience but did notice that American Standard had left a note on my review. I called them and can report that they stood one hundred percent behind the product. I will be using this drain in my new project.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from so far so good I was concerned about the quality when looking at this since it was plastic and all but so far i have not had any problems. I did need to swap out a pipe since it was not lobg enough for my existing setup but was easily addressed. I just wished it was easier to install on my deep tub. (Was actually very time consuming and two sets of hands are needed to get it all to fit once tub ia in position. )

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Make a good tub soak an amazing deep soak This drain added some much needed water depth to our new tub. It was straight forward to install as long as you follow the directions very carefully. My plumber installed wrong...luckily i reviewed before he finished. Fit and finish was far ahead of what we replaced. Worth the extra cost. Would recommend this tub drain.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from no replacement parts I was really happy with this product until the plastic push stopper top broke and I have been unable to find a replacement or a satisfactory substitute. The threaded female part under the cap itself cracked and the top fell off. I would not recommend this product until replacement parts become more readily available.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent drain but over priced. Received the drain and it is constructed out of thick plastic which can be adjusted according to where your drain is. however the chrome piece is also just a piece of plastic painted to look chrome which really disappointed me. Installation will depend on your plumbing but we almost needed a plumber to come out and disconnect one of our pipes so that we could fit this drain in as you don't have much room to screw it into place. Thankfully we were able to disconnect the pipe to fit the drain in appropriately and reconnect it! So far it looks great. I can't comment on the function as the bathroom is still under renovations. I will say it didn't get 5 stars due to the price not fitting the quality of the construction in my book.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Deep Tub We installed the Deep Soak Drain. It really does work as far as allowing the water to rise for a deeper soak. Our only issue is with the pop up stopper. When it is in the down position is does allow some water to escape down the drain. From the time the tub is full until you undress and get in it is a noticable difference of about 1/8 inch of water. I have heard other good reports about this item and that is why I purchased it. It just seems mine has a slight seal problem. All in all I still like it and do not regret installing it.
