I have two sets of the bistro shower doors that are 1 1/2 years old and am having a difficult time getting some streaks off the glass. I don't want to use any abrasive chemicals but you can see these streaks and I purchased these doors because I was told that they were streak-free.
Asked by: Carol the Disappointed
The doors are not streak free, but are offered with an Easy to Clean Glass finish that helps repel the water and spotting. It works kind of the same way as Rain-X. If you are having issues with streaking, we recommend using Lysol Bathroom Cleaner or Liquid Comet Spray.

What is the thickness of the glass. Is the header rounded?

Asked by: Anonymous
The glass thickness is 1/4" tempered safety glass and the header is rounded.

We find that many of our tenants are using the inside towel bar as a grab bar, resulting in breaking the bar or shower door all together. Can this shower door be specified with only the outside towel bar? If so, how should I spec that?

Asked by: Anonymous
The only way is if the doors are ordered custom manufactured unit (AM0374T or AM0374S). The location of the shower head must be specified and how they want it done. There would not be anymore of an up charge to do so than just the charge of the unit.

Customer Reviews

Euro 60 in. x 57 in. Semi-Framed Bypass Tub Door in Oil-Rubbed Bronze with Clear Glass is rated 2.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product - Easy to install Tub doors look great, easy to install, and good heavy quality. Good value too...identical product was almost 20% higher on Lowes' website! Only issue was that one of the door glide brackets was bent due to shipping damage. Easily straightened and seems to work fine. Also, one of the plastic washers for the one of the towel handles was missing from the package. But all-in-all, appears to be a good product and would not hesitate to purchase again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth the price Bent channels, doors wiggle in their tracks and the feel is overall flimsy for such an expensive product. I would have returned it once I got the feel of the doors slide open if I hadn't cut the top and bottom tracks in order to install it. Equal or better sliding shower doors can be found 'on the shelf' for less.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a good buy at all... I bought these doors 3 years ago and if I recall they were 1/2 the price at the time. Within 6 months, the paint began peeling off the door frames--on the outside of the bath door! I followed cleaning instructions strictly by using only a gentle, non ammonia cleaner (I'm chemical sensitive so I can't use harsh cleaners anyway). Then, 2 months ago, the screw holding up the glass door snapped in half. Now what should have been an updated bath now is a jerry-rigged mess. At $375, I wouldn't buy these doors again. At $625, I'd rather pay for something custom.
