I'm looking at AM00335400.238 - 033056756140, the width on my shower opening is 44.5" and height is 66". What is the width of the top and bottom rails and will this model work for me? I feel the 44 to 48" model will have to much over lap for our liking.

Asked by: Bth1
This model is designed to fit a finished opening of 40"-44" wide and the overall height is 65 1/2". You can use this model to fit your 44 1/2" opening as long as you custom order a 1/2" filler strip to go with it. Your local retailer will be able to assist you with ordering and pricing. Otherwise, I would recommend using model AM00345400.238 which fits an opening of 44"-48" wide and 65 1/2" overall height.

What are actual panel sizes of AM00335.400.213? How much would they overlap on a 40" shower opening?

Asked by: DaveinHyndman
The panels are approximately 22" x 62.5". If you're shower is a 40" opening, you will have close to 4" or a little more of overlap in the center.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made product Had shower door professionally installed, but watched installer at every step. Product went together smoothly and has a very striking look to it with the oil rubbed bronze finish. It blends well with oil rubbed shower fixtures from Delta.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Door / Couple of Heads Up Issues I installed this unit myself and installation was pretty straight forward. There are a couple of things I needed to address. First are the rubber bumpers. When the glass doors close and attempt to slide into the slot on the bumpers they tended to hit the edge and bind because it’s a tight fit. To solve, I cut away one side of bumpers at an angle where it was hitting the glass. This allowed the bumpers to guide the glass edges into the pocket of the bumper without fighting it and worked great. I used a dremel tool but a straight razor blade pushed at an angle would work too. (see pic). The second issue is water sneaking by the glass door opposite the shower head side. Basically if someone points the shower head towards the far side glass door the water can flood the side channel and sneak by the glass edge and leak out onto the floor. I have two solutions, first is to change the shower head to a lower volume / pressure model. I had removed the flow restrictor in my current model years ago and the pressure and volume is quite high and probably a bit excessive. Second, will installing a clear press on PVC seal (see pic) on the edge of the far side glass door .The edge that slides onto the glass is hard and the seal flap is soft and can even be trimmed if necessary. I haven’t received the seals yet but they should work fine. The company that makes these seals is C.R. Laurence Co., Inc..
