I am trying to purchase a toilet without the hole in the bottom. We have well water and it will get clogged. We just want a regular toilet with rim water flush only.

Dear Valued Home Depot Customer,
We reached out to MFG for more information and below is their response.
“As with all American Standard toilets, this model does in fact have a siphon jet located in the bottom of the bowl."
Thanks

Does this empty out all the water with a quick tap of the handle?

As the other customer asked: Is this a Dual Function handle?
Does it have to be held to empty out the majority of the 1.6 gallons?
By tapping it fast to flush it DOES NOT empty out most of the tank.
We have not yet moved in to test it to its full potential (no bathroom doors yet) but we also noticed what the other customer wrote in the question.
Or is there an adjustment in the tank to allow more emptying of the tank?

Is American Standard in the house? thanks

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 28 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Found a Winner! Have installed several toilets over the years, but I'm sure nothing came close to this one. It has a powerful flush, looks great and was very easy to install. I really like the one piece design. I upgraded the plastic seat that was included to a slow-close wood model and would suggest anyone buying this unit to consider doing the same, it makes so much difference! February 11, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Well-designed toilet except for one detail The toilet itself is excellent: sleek design, easy to install and to clean, with a nice big flush handle. But I'm downgrading it one star because if you want to have an electric bidet seat on it, you will be disappointed. The "French curve" design means such seats will either not fit or will have to be shoe-horned into place and not securely fastened. I know because I ordered a bidet seat from a good online business that states a few models they sell will fit 98% of toilets made, so I ordered a recommended Brondell model. Although out of the box it looked like it would fit OK, upon installation I had to modify the instructions to force a fit. The seat works fine but needs its seat bolts tightened every few days. We like the toilet and wanted to keep it, otherwise we would have returned it for a two-piece model that could fit any electric bidet seat. So this Fairfield model is great, unless you want a bidet seat that fits normally. May 4, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by One peice toliet Everything is good after 3 tries was broken each time May 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent so far Very quiet, quick flush. Plumber had no problem installing. Kept and reused better seat from old toilet. Excellent choice if you need a tank that fits under a 30" shelf. Will probably buy another when I need to replace my other toilet. Shipping took FAR too long to arrive at store, but store pickup went smoothly. Plenty of help loading into hatchback. December 22, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by work for me I probably would not have used an elongated bowl for this particular installation but it worked out fine. The seat was a little cheap, but I expected that. January 20, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor quality; tank leaked and fill valve failed long before it should have (2.5 years); Against my better judgment based on experience with a very bad American Standard Air Conditioning system, I bought two of these American Standard toilets from Home Depot #524 (order #W188024562) on 03/21/2013. One tank leaked through a porous spot (not a crack) on the back of the tank (which I repaired from the inside with Gorilla glue). The fill-valve on the other toilet stopped working after 2 years, and the city water supply is not hard and tested very clean. So, all 3 out of 3 bad experiences with American Standard means I will make a point to steer clear of any more American Standard products of any kind. September 23, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great fit in small bathroom Nice one-piece toilet, but the seat is so cheap, it takes away from a 5-star rating. Upgrade the seat, and it would top the charts. Flush is quick and quiet. December 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product Very please with this product and I would recommend to anyone. Found it easy to install. September 24, 2015
