Answer:
Yes. From its "centered" position, I'd estimate its swivel range to be about 30 degrees in any direction.

Answer:
I suggest applying a layer of typical plumbing pipe tape (thin teflon) or a small amount of pipe putty to help provide a good seal when attaching the head to the pipe. Also, something like a small to medium crescent wrench will be useful to help in tightening the head to the pipe. There is a small flat area on the nipple that attaches the showerhead to the pipe for the wrench to clamp to.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 95 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great shower head. I can't believe they don't stock it in store! A good shower on low setting, awesome on the middle, the last is almost like a massage. Great pressure and eliminated problems of running out of hot water when two showers are going at the same time. Easy to install, resets to lowest flow when water is turned off. Easy to change settings. February 20, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great showers and efficient water use, but check review If there were also a "Universal Appeal" rating, I'd give that rating maybe 3 stars. We gave it 5 stars for the provided ratings largely because we really like the clever spray pattern it produces "by default", which is produced by a small whirling disk in the showerhead. Installation was a snap, but it pays pays to read the directions before using it. There are three settings for spray pattern, with an automatic reset to the "default" one for lowest water flow when the flow is below a certain level...which also means until the water flow is turned up to that level, the default pattern is what you get. And that works very well for us, because that pattern is quite effective at giving you the feel of a large spray using a low water flow...clever engineering. The other two sprays are also very good, but would need to be chosen each shower because of the auto-reset to the default when the water is turned off. April 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Shower Head For all Bodies I've used the Flowise Transitional 3-Function Head for many years. The head delivers a full face of water on all settings. Other heads deliver a hollow cone of water. The Flowise head has three spray patterns operating on two different volume settings. The auto-return feature contiues to help save water after years of service. August 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product! This product is spectacular! It takes quite a bit of time for the hot water to reach the other side of my home that was built in 1966. The shower head has a great low flow feature (as do a lot of shower heads), but the spinner inside really makes it feel as if you have more than enough pressure to complete your shower. My only complaint would be that I may never have to use the higher flows. I thought perhaps I might use for rinsing my hair, but it wasn't necessary. However, if you do use the higher flow the quick return to low flow works like a charm. My husband even commented on how nice it was to have extra pressure from a low flow shower head. Shipping was super quick and it is well worth the money. March 6, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Flowise shower head I bought 2 of these shower heads, one for each shower. the shower head has 3 settings, 1.5, 1.8 and 2.0 gpm. I prefer the second setting, 1.8 gpm. The 1.5 is very sharp. One thing I did not expect is that the setting does not stay at what you set it, it always resets itself back to the 1.5 setting, so you need to change it for each shower. The 1.8 is pretty close to the feel of my previous shower head. One other item, there are no installation instructions that comes with the product. We have the HD home improvement book so this was not a problem but we still have a slight leak at the installation point. We installed initially with just plumbers tape - then we tried further tightening and added an o-ring and still have the leak. Any thoughts about how to solve are appreciated November 21, 2009
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by American Standare Flowise Model 1660.717 Consumer Reports August 09 issue tested shower heads and rated the American Standard Model 1660.717 as "Recommended" for performance and price. I ordered this model from Home Depot and am very pleased with Home Depot in delivery (it was on back order) and the performance of the product. We have been using it for 2 weeks. It has 3 different spray configurations and all three are very good. Gallons per minute were stated by American Standard @ 2 GPM and Comsumer Reports registered the same. Highly Recommended. July 26, 2009
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Water Saver but its shower settings not easily changed. The best selling points are its water saving ability and very low Home Depot price. However, there are two problems with this unit, 1) it is difficult to change the default shower spray setting to another. If you manage to do it, it resets itself to its initial setting when you turn off the water. A subsequent shower requires another struggle to change it. 2) The water pressure is very low. April 29, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This shower head works great in the water saver mode, 1.5 gal per min. I didn't notice any difference in performance between this one and my old waterpix which put out at least 2 gal per min. I did not have any issues with rinsing or stinging, mentioned in reviews of other brands. What I liked most about this one, is you always have the option to select 2 higher flow rates. This should keep everyone in the family happy and increase the likelyhood that you will save both water and money. December 11, 2010
