Customer Questions & Answers

does this toilet need a gasket ,like the floor models do????

Asked by: Anonymous
That neoprene gasket cost me $53. My Home Depot did not carry it. Nor did Lowe's.

does this include the seat?

Asked by: Anonymous
No. The seat is extra. There are many to chose from at HD. Get an elongated (not round) one.

What seal is recommended for the wall mount?

Asked by: Rudolph
Zurn neoprene, which you can order from home depot, 5 and 1/4 inch outside diameter x 4 and 1/4 inside x 3/4 inch thick. I cant remember the series for sure but 3200 comes to mind, around $12-$15, hope this helps.

Home Depot and the Manufacture would not ship it to my house directly so I had to get it reordered and come pick it up again. The install went smooth, I used the wax ring because I couldnt find the rubber gasket it calls for. Like others said, the flush is a bit loud and startled me first time I flushed it, but that doesn't bother me. I have an issue with my unit in that it will not double flush, after I flush it once I have to wait for about 30min to flush again. American Standard does not help you with any issues they only make the skin of this unit. I have to call EcoFlush and leave a message can not talk to a person. They do not return your emails or phone calls. I would not get this toilet again if I had a choice, cheaper wall toilet selection is limited.

This toilet was great because it did fit right on the current wall mount, and we didn't want to redo the plumbing at this point. This toilet is loud, but it's not bothersome. However, you almost always have to flush twice because there is always shredded toilet paper that comes back up after flushing. Also, the toilet is very industrial looking. It replaced a blue toilet so that might be part of it. I would recommend it other than the flushing issue. I would rather have a toilet that used more water if it meant you only had to flush once. It's expensive to have a flaw like this, and I'm not the only person with this issue after reading the reviews.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replaced Old Glenwall Vent-Away need Zurn Bonded Neo-seal Closet Gasket Perfect match for existing mounts. Stack some scrap boards under old one to aid with removal and replacement because it's heavy. This is a two person project - have the stronger one hold and guide toilet, other one remove/install nuts and washers (you will reuse the existing ones). Our biggest frustration was determining what seal we were supposed to get, and where to get it from. We went to a large local plumbing supply store and purchased a ZURN bonded neo-seal closet gasket ZURZ121057 Z1210-57 Neo seal gasket. I'm not positive, but I think it is the same one Home Depot sells. Order the seal when you order the toilet. It's louder than a regular toilet, but not excessively loud. (Don't let the very first flush scare you, because it's loud.) Because the tank is smaller than the old Vent-Away tank, you may need to paint the previously hidden wall to match the rest of the wall. It's easiest to do so while no toilet is mounted. The toilet comes with some hardware parts (I think it was 2 separate plastic bags). Look very carefully for them. We found one in the bottom of the box, and one in the bottom of the tank. It was a bit difficult to get that one out. Value rating - this toilet is way more expensive than a floor mounted toilet Ease of Installation - because it's wall mounted, you're fighting gravity

The rear ( closes to wall) ridges on bowl are CAST too high. The tank leans forward about 20 degrees out . This was confirmed with a level. Even WITHOUT gasket the tank has this lean. Very poor quality control. (Casting was Sept of 16) This is why people say tank wobbles, because they can not tighten down

If your old toilet broke, this fits the wall carrier perfectly without any modifications. I remodeled and replaced old w/new one. I am remodeling my other bath and will not replace old toilet until it breaks. This toilet does not clean the stains w/one flush, plus you get shredded toilet paper and residual back flush w/only one flush, meaning two or three flushes for a clean tank. Because of the power assist, this toilet is very loud also. This toilet is the only option without changing the carrier, if your old toilet fails for any reason. This option versus ripping drywall and replacing carrier plus the extra cost for a different brand of toilet w/carrier, I will live w/flushing two or three times if needed. Also, needs the Zurn neoprene gasket for the waste horn. Because of the high expense of this toilet, I opted for home depot to install this toilet for $99, for the peace of mind.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good toilet, but... It took Home Depot three tries to get our Glenwall wall-mounted toilet delivered for pick up at their local store. This toilet must be ordered and we had two that came broken before the third arrived safely; thus 4 stars. The toilet itself is good, a bit loud (think commercial toilet in a store washroom) but is effective in flushing away waste. We replaced a 50 year old American Standard wall-mount toilet and the old mounting bracket bolt pattern was perfect; it is nice when some things are consistent.

I would get a different one if this one was not already installed. Cons: It does not always flush everything down, and that includes when there is just TP in there. I find that if I hold the landle for a long time it works better. It is also so loud it's shocking. Finally, and while this is a small one, it was annoying. It was missing washers so the plumber had to run to the store to get them, which costed me like 25 bucks because I paid the guy by the hour.

Having a house that has only wall mounted toilets, and over the years having to replace them this one is the best by far. Saves on water, powerful flush (anyone with wall mount knows that not always the case), great design. I highly recommend.
