Customer Questions & Answers

I'm looking for an 8" span between the center of the two faucets. does this one meet my specifications?

I'm asking about the American Standard Hampton faucet. Model #4751.732.295. Also, does the arched faucet move from side to side or is it fixed in place?
Asked by: Anonymous
The faucets are not fixed in this model, so they can be used if you have two holes in your sink for them. The goose neck faucet moves freely from side to side.

Does the gooseneck spout move from side to side to work with a double basin kitchen sink?

Asked by: Anonymous
Yes. It moves at least 180 degrees. (It might move farther but I have a window sill behind it, so 180 degrees is as far as mine can go.)

how high is the goose neck spout of this Hampton model of American Standard kitchen faucet?

We want to compare this goose neck spout height with the Highgrove mid arc Bathroom goose neck bathroom spout, also in the American Standard collection. Plus, we would also like to compare the measurement between the faucets of each. Lastly, can each of these goose neck spouts completely swivel to the side? We are also wondering if an extra single American Standard kitchen sprayer in satin nickel can be ordered separately?
Asked by: Anonymous
The goose neck on this model is 12 inches high and the two faucet handles are 8 1/2" apart from each other. The goose neck spout can swivel completely side to side.

Had my plumber install this product--he noted there were fewer parts/connections than the previous faucet (Moen-Vestige), and was easier to install. Also, this faucet has a greater water flow (2.2 gal), so you get a cleaner, more powerful rinse. Further, the high arch allows for easier filling of bigger pots. So far, really love this product--have had it about a month.

I have had an installer come to my house three times and now i have resorted to buying a new faucet. It leaks from the base, the handles are hard to turn and the water pressure isn't good. Don't know if its the installer or the faucet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't touch it Beautiful looking faucet, which is why we bought it. Unfortunately, less than four years after installing it, the gooseneck has corroded through, and leaks in several places. I assume this is because it is made of poor quality brass. The base of the gooseneck starts to leak within a few months of replacing the seal. Also, the spray valve stopped working in less than a year, and does not cut off the water to the faucet while spraying. I will stick with Delta in future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful, but so many connections Beware, this is not your average faucet, instead of two pieces to install you have 4. Because the handles and the faucet are separate the installation takes longer, and is not like all the directions online. I recommend not trying it alone, where the other type is easy w/o a friend. Also, the handles rotate because they are not part of a bigger attachment - I need to research this and then see if I can figure out how to make it stop. It appears that the traditional faucet wrench doesn't work on the attachments, instead a smaller tool is shipped with the product - so it is harder to tighten the parts to the sink. My yes is advisedly so - I like it because it suits me aesthetically, so I recommend it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from High Quality for this price... I was impressed by the quality of the brass valves and chrome plating of the major parts. The installation was typical in a replacement with difficult reaches behind an installed sink. The Spay hose was the big disappointment here with a cheap hard plastic hose and an attachment that did NOT have defined sides for a wrench to seat and turn it tight. Home Depot sent a returned set which had been opened and repackaged badly, missing a washer and having some pieces loose in the box. Fortunately there was no cosmetic damage to finished parts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from hampton satin nickel faucet the product is good looking and easy to use. the hot and cold handles move easily and close with a light touch. the aerator is functioning properly and the end is well about the sink top so i can wash pots without a worry.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stay away The faucet WAS nice, until it started leaking from the bottom. Originally parts were replaced free and they were needed often. Then their policy changed and without your receipt ( even though they have records of me replacing the worn parts repeatedly) they will charge you. So the Lifetime Warranty is only if you have the receipt (again, even though they know they have replaced the same few parts for me over and over). Too bad for them- will not purchase Am Standard products again.
