Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Woolfman The product was defective
I purchased two kits which had the values and faucets. I paid a plumber to install at almost $1000.00 per bathroom. One day after installation one of the two bathroom faucets started to drip. Called plumber back and he determined that one of the values was defective. Called American Standard and they were willing to replace the unit if I sent it back. The plumber was more than happy to charge me another $1000.00 to replace the faucets again. So in short because American Standard sent me a defective value I got to pay the plumber twice. I expected the quality to be better, much better.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by cjsmith An attractive, substantial set.
We purchased an American Standard 2-Handle Tub and Shower Set from Home Depot to replace the original 65 year old faucet. It's a solid piece with a metal tub spout and substantial metal handles which operate very smoothly. The swivel shower head is large, attractive, and has a comfortable spray. My wife and I enhanced ours with the addition of a hand shower.
I appreciated the fact that I only had to solder two male IPS adapters to attach to the faucet unions and not revamp any piping as a single handle would have required. I completed the project by replacing the old shower riser and tub spout piping.
A minor item is the plastic escutcheon and sleeve were screwed together upon receipt which was somewhat confusing according to the directions. Once I checked the parts diagram I realized I could unscrew and reverse them to adjust for my faucet depth. There are mixed feelings about plastic metal escutcheons but in my past repair projects I found they never corroded on as metal can.
We are very pleased we included Home Depot's online sales website as part of our shopping because it was only available there. Their delivery using it was efficient and problem free.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by JC Nice but strange.
I like almost everything about this fixture; classic good looks, smooth to touch, very heavy and substantial feel. But then they blew it with these Plastic echelons or stem flanges that have an O ring built in, but the ring can not possibly touch the tile wall. The piece is just designed wrong and made of the wrong material. I can't figure why they would punk out on such a simple part when the function and design of the rest is so good.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by hiker6 Nice heavy chromed brass handles
I still like two-handled shower faucetts and this is the best I could find. The handles are heavy, they feel royal. The flanges are chromed plastic, which is a little dissapointing, but not key issue. Oddly, the diverter cannot be mounted with a cross-brace in the back so I put a spacer block between the diverter and the tiled wall. The diverter is secured by the flanges pulling it tight to the tiled wall. I hope this works.
I do not like set screws in fixtures because they become calcified and un-removable, but the spout is secured with one. I would have preferred a taperd pipe thread.
I would recommend this as the best two-handle faucet that I have seen.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Magnus I expected better
The tub spout is a press on design held with 1 set screw. A little child could rip this off the wall.. Poor design. I am disappointed I expected better for the price. Luckily it is just a guest bath and will have limited use.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by BK4121 Nice fixture
I bought this to replace the original 60-yr old fixture in my bath. The biggest challenge was that the height of the cast brass fixture was about 1/4" greater top to bottom than my original, plus the handles were larger in diameter. This meant grinding out the holes in my ceramic tile and plaster walls downward about 1/8" and enlarging the handle holes by about 1/8" as well to accommodate the new fixture. Fortunately the new flanges were large enough to cover the new larger holes requiring only one minor and barely visible patch. Handle position is very adjustable. Nice to have only 90 degree range on the handles. Hope it lasts half as long as the original. Will write more if I have to do any maintenance in the next 5 years.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Willie Pleasing apearance. Poor quality control by manufacturer.
I like the faucet's appearance. Valve cartridge was defective which meant a new cartridge had to be ordered from American Standard. I incurred extra expense because my plumber had to make a return visit and installation was delayed by about 10 days. I was disappointed with the product quality and customer service of the manufacturer.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by mysterylover Nice look for the price
We were looking for a two handle shower/tub combo and there were not many out there to choose from. This set was attractive and seems to be pretty well made for the price. We had a handyman/plumber install it due to some tile work that was going on at the same time. It turned out very nice. The installer said this model can be a little tricky, but he had put in several just like it so knew what to do.
