Is there a Whirlpool Tub Heater that can actually raise the water temp, even slowly over a period of time?

I have a large corner tub and not enough hot water in the tank to fill it.

How is the heater turned on?

on the the american standard tubs there is a buttom ontop of the tub that turns the jets on. If i install a heater how is that turned on? Do you need to add a switch to the seperate GFCI outlet for the heater?
Asked by: dpjag
The heater is fully automatic and no additional switch is necessary. The heater is equipped with a pressure switch and will only activate once the tub is filled with water and the motor/pump is running.

I live in a condo- If I purchase the American Standard Everclean - Are you required to use only PVC piping? or can I use different piping ?

My condo association may require a different type of piping to install - Do I have to use PVC ? What other options are there?
Asked by: Helpless
The heater is manufactured to be installed in a specific line of American Standard tubs. This is not made to retrofit in a non-heater compatible tub. The connections are PVC.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not happy have put the second one in and it does not work either. manufacturers support is non existent. Have called the tech support line three times and gotten three different departments each one of which does not know what an A/S inline water heater is! I gave them the brand name and model number off of the nameplate and they said that was not an American Standard model!!! Really?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Worth It Cost-benefit analysis. For the cost, it's not worth the benefit. It was fairly expensive, but doesn't do the best job. It's supposed to maintain the current temperature. But, I find myself draining the warm water and filing up with hot to maintain the temperature.
