CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 78 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor quality Bought this unit and unfortunately, similar to another reviewer, the hose immediately started fraying. Triple checked the install, and nothing wrong there. Something inside of this unit is causing this to occur. Called American Standard and they told me to return to store. Don't have the time or patience to try the same model or fix the current unit. Returning the American Standard and trying a different brand. February 3, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by bad product The spray hose can be crimped and rendered useless when water is on June 10, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice Aside from the bulbous appearance, this faucet works very well. It was relatively easy to install except for one thing: The instructions do not tell you to position the base of the faucet before tightening the nuts. If you don't do this, it may be offset in restricted in movement (turns one way but not the other). Position the base into the bezel by turning the neck from side to side to see how far it will move. Then tighten the nuts. Recheck the movement again after tightening. The water flow looks good (not too low or high) and the sprayhead pulls easily out of the neck. It may take some getting-used-to to keep from swinging the neck too far side to side. The resistance to it is almost non-existant. November 12, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not a good buy I always thought that American Standard was a good brand and I bought it because it looked nice. I should of researched it. What a mistake the flow was low despite having disconnected the handle. The filter is a pain to get to I think you need a special tool to get it. Thanks Home Depot for their return policty. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by design flaw Looks good, and simple design is what I like about this faucet, but here are the issues: 1. 3/8 inch diameter hoses come with it, but it doesn't come with any adapters for 1/2 inch. Had to pay $$ more for adapters. Be sure you have 3/8 inch valves before hand, or you'll pay more, and deal with more issues. 2. pull out faucet braiding started to fray almost immediately. I didn't think it was an issue, but only 1 week after new install, it was frayed all over. Called customer service and they sent me a new sprayer for free. Thanks. But the problem wasn't solved until I took the entire unit apart. Its easy to do, but why does a customer have to do this? Anyhow, I wanted to do it, so I could find the root cause. Many, many sharp edges is the cause. Wish american standard would contact me so I can send them pics. The primary brass threaded mounting rod has a sharp ID (inside dia) seam (seam weld?). The plastic (glass filled PPC?) shell that is bonded to this brass threaded rod has very sharp edges where the faucet braiding drags accross. DETAILS are important in engineering design! Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by still a poor design I wrote a review on Dec 22. A couple of days later I was contacted by American Standard who offered to send the necessary parts. a week later I received a box with a new spray head and a cartridge. I put the cartridge in first since it's the easiest but that didn't fix it. so I put the spray head on it. that fixed it. there was a spacer for the cartridge which was not included and a washer of some sort for the spray head that was also not included. I was able to use the old ones. I appreciate the companies proactive approach but I still think it's dumb sesign. January 3, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Aerator can not be removed Beautiful faucet. Worked well.....but now (6 mths later), pressure has slowed....something is in the aerator. Should be easy to fix....but the aerator is not designed to be removed. AS confirmed that no tool exists to remove aerator. AS told me that the faucet is not flawed....it's my water line that shouldn't have stuff in it. So, WARNING.....unless you are absolutely sure that nothing will ever clog the aerator, don't buy this faucet. We made a mistake (AS told me I should have researched the faucet before buying it.) Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good looking, easy install This faucet is very good looking and very easy to install. May 12, 2015
