This faucet is well built, so I can't say it is horrible. Here are the issues.
1. It does not take standard faucet hoses. 90% of faucets are 3/8 at the valve and 1/2 at the faucet. This has short 3/8 hoses, so unless your valves are within 12 inches of the faucet you will need the extension hoses, I needed 4 at $8 each they are 12 inches in length. I already had faucet in so I went back and bought the extensions, which were not easy to find.
2. This will no work with an on demand water heater, it retards water flow. There is great flow at the faucet, but not enough to ignite the water heater.
3. Often when you install a faucet you get sediment in the strainer that needs to be cleared. You need a special tool to remove the strainer. They will send this to you free, if you want to wait a week. I just destroyed the strainer so it would work with my water heater.
I have always bought Delta for my rentals and made the mistake of buying this as it was $10 less, but ended up costing most in parts and time.
So in the words of Money Python,.....Run Away.

Easy to install, works well. Not metal, all plastic.....so, a little pricey for what you get.

This is a simple model that looks nice and is quite functional. I especially like the removable spiggot for ease of use.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Nathan Money down the drain, and that's not the wors part!
I bought this faucet a while back, it was okay in the begining. I then started experiencing leaking from the base of the faucet. I didn't even consider it was coming from the faucet at first because it was new. I contacted American Standard. This is the worst part: Their "lifetime warranty" is prety much worthless letters printed on the box. I have never had a more unprofessional experience with a company. It's a shame they use the name "American". Even filed a bbb complaint to which they decided to stop responding. I even bought a replacement cartridge... that wasn't the problem. The leak is due to the actual faucet.
Bottom line: Shiny piece of trash. Don't waste your money and don't expect any help from customer service.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MJK Great Value
Needed a replacement before the main kitchen renovation in a few years time. This was a great value, easy to install, though the feeds were a bit short, a quick run for line extensions and the job was all set. Clear instructions, great images. The hand held has a good solid feel and the rubber button for spray or stream has a good quality feel and transitions quickly with no issue. It seats into it's base easily and does not wobble around. Very impressed for the price.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Boatdesigner Aerator can not be cleaned!
After replacing our water heater, we found that the water flow in our kitchen was greatly reduced, but fairly normal everywhere else in the house. Our plumber tried to clean the aerator and asked for the little tool that came with the faucet. I didn't remember seeing one, so I went and looked through the parts from the faucet and there was none included. This morning I called the American Standard Hot Line and was told point blank that the aerator can not be removed and that I should clean this debris out by soaking it in CLR. When I pointed out that this would not dissolve sand, dirt or small metal shavings I was told that I should have removed the faucet prior to replacing the water heater. As you can imagine I was not very happy and mentioned what a poor design it was and asked if it could be returned for warranty repair. I was told only within 90 days. When I complained that they had just lost a formerly good customer, I was rushed off the phone and disconnected.
Home Depot should put a warning label on these faucets saying they are designed by the manufacturer to be disposable if they ever get dirt in the aerator. I know a couple of people have managed to get the bottom of the sprayer off and cleaned the aerator, but I have tried every paper clip, screwdriver and type of pliers that I own and have only managed to burr up the little ears that are supposed to be for the tool to remove this part. By the way, I called to ask for the part number of this tool and was told there is none.
Terrible product design!
