I like wood. Nothing feels more natural. Much better than plastic. Wood always feels warm where as
other materials feels cold to the touch.

I bought 3 of these about 6months ago and installed them in my guest bathrooms. When our home was built the builder used another brand but I wanted to use American Standard since the toilets were american standard they look nice but do not fit well and seem to slide or move while being sat on the fasteners come loose, and it is embarrassing, to think that my guests are having this problem. It is also annoying to constantly retighten them. When I purchased them I expected an American Toilet seat would fit my existing toilets. I have one that has not been changed out, so I wonder, if this Laurel seat won't fit what style will ?

I researched toilet seats and decided on this one and now I'm disappointed. Within the first 10 days of use, it's cracked. We're not an obese family, nor are we abusive to our toilet seats. This should not have happened. I nearly chose a Bemis brand seat, but didn't because of reviews stating they cracked. Imagine my surprise when I opened the box and the warranty paperwork read Bemis. I hoped we wouldn't have an issue with the seat, but I was wrong. We can't return it because we don't have the receipt any longer.

Toilet paper sticks to the front of the bowl because there is not enough water expelled from the rim to flush it away. The bulk of the water is used to expel the waste at the bottom of the bowl. Wife hates new toilets. If she's unhappy I'm unhappy.

It fits the Antiquity elongated bowl perfectly. I like the way it attaches to the toilet, too. It has large plastic screws and rubber nuts that are easy to work with. It then has white caps that snap easily into place to cover the hardware. The whole seat can be removed fairly easily for cleaning. The only negative was that I had to go to American Standard's website to figure out which seat went with my toilet; then back to the Home Depot to get the free shipping and the good price. A little extra work there.

2 problems with this toilet seat. When you put the seat back down at about the half way point the heavy lid comes down on your fingers. I took it apart and used white lithium grease to fix this. Also if you have ever had a toilet seat that wont stay in place no matter how tight you get the screws...this is one of those seats. It keeps sliding to the left side of center. I will put a rubber washer between the toilet and the toilet seat to fix this.

just the right size for commercial/office use since most of them are elongated.
