I bought this one because I liked the way it looked but when we got ready to install , found it to be very thin and flimsy. The installed added extra support to the back which helped some. I looks very good up ,but not sure how it will last . I wish we had bought another band. This unit cost more than the other brands.

Yes its a little thin but thicker than the one that came out after 25 years. As long as you follow the instructions and i installed it over green board so its very sturdy and firm. Ill revisit this review after a few months of use.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by mxg Super thin walls. I would not have bought if I'd know they were that thin.
The walls are amazingly thin. They look nice, but there is no strength to them at all. I should have gone with the other reviews and not purchased it. Tub seems fairly decent though. Go Sterling. Not this garbage. But luckily I did have a professional install it, so its got that going for it.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Eric Cheap and lots of work
These look great but require a lot of prep work and the shower pan they are designed to work with have a defect in them rendering th useless. It's tempting to want this set, but beware, finding a proper shower pan and the majors hassles of working with Home Depot to do it were not worth it. This is a good looking product but until they fix the defect and Home Depot is willing to pull the bad ones and assist customers in navigating theess they have created, keep looking.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by woodwizard Not what I was hoping for...
The product itself was not bad, a little flimsy, but the glue they used to attach the packing material to the tub could not be removed without a strong stinky chemical solvent, NAPTHA. It stunk up the whole house, and with sub zero temperatures outside, opening the window more than a crack wasn't an option., next time I think I will go with something different, because this is so flimsy between studs. Also, the corners should come together and match each other. I could not get one of the corners to tighten up as much as the other, leaving a gap of 1/4 inch, as opposed to 1/8 inch on the other side.

I am a general contractor. I have 10 year worth of bathrooms under my belt, this was by far the biggest piece of junk I have ever seen. First of all, the amount of additional framing, the amount of glue and the chalking necessary brings the price of this thing beyond a quality Kohler Sterling fixture. Add to that the extra time I was payed to install it, and you've bought 2 quality Kohler Sterling fixtures. I don't understand why anyone buys these. Hardly an "American Standard"! If it truly is, we have reason for concern.
