Answer:
The 120 valve is a sweat connection setup. The 125 valve is an IPS threaded setup. The 127 valve is a combo PEX crimp and sweat setup. All are 1/2" female except the PEX which is 1/2" male.

The R120 valve is both volume and temperature control. Pulling the handle upward controls the volume and left to right controls the temperature.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked perfectly. I have been remodeling my newly purchased home. Previous owner attempted improvements himself. They did a horrible job at it. This was one of many projects we took on. January 10, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by just installed have not used yet. RECEIVED PRODUCT IN GOOD CONDITION AND TIMELY. WISH THE PRODUCT STATED THAT IT NEED A COPPER SWEAT FITTING.. OR THAT THE SAME VALVE WAS AVAILABLE WITH PIPE THREADS FOR THIS APPLICATION. May 7, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Works almost too well Okay...we built our home in 2010. It's wonderful and we have all American Standard faucets, shower, toilet etc. The real complaint is that our downstairs shower valve (anti-scald) keeps "popping". Meaning the water is coming out hot and then it "pops" not allowing you to continue to turn the water to hot. It's like there is a brick wall in the handle. The first time it did it (two winters ago), we replaced the valve - no big deal and we went on with life. The next year, it "popped" again and we replaced it. Again, not a big deal thinking it's keeping us safe. However, it has now done it for a third time and third year in a row. Now we have to replace it again. It's getting expensive. The upstairs shower has the exact same head/hardware/valves and we've never had a problem. So although the anti-scald thing is great, for some reason it overdoes it's job on our downstairs shower. Yes, I still recommend it for the safety feature but this is the last time I'm replacing it. It does it again and I'll get something completely different. November 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install Never installed a shower valve before. Went in easily and works great with trim kit. I did test it and the hot water flow seemed low but it may be due to the anti scald feature. Have had no problems with dripping. March 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works very well. I used the same valve in a shower I installed over 7 years ago, and it has given us flawless service. The single lever action provides very easy independent control of the water flow and temperature. The valve maintains the temperature even other faucits are used or toilets are flushed. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pressure Balance Rough valve body I installed it in a small shower and it was very easy to take apart to sweat pipes into it. It works just fine. January 29, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great It seems like we don't have to wait so long for hot water like we did before we replaced the valve. Consistent water temperature. February 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ease of use This is the only valve that gives you volume control and temperature control in a single lever valve. It is unbeatable for the price. January 16, 2014
