Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do NOT buy American Standard Twelve years ago we purchased this faucet in a bone color. Practically every piece broke on it and was replaced by my husband. All of the parts were free, and thankfully we didn't have to contact a plumber for the repairs. Finally they sent us a new faucet, but after a couple of months the lever on top stopped working. Now we have to pull it up with our fingernails to switch between stream and spray. Once again we contacted American Standard and they said since they already gave us a new faucet we could have our money back from the original faucet we purchased in 2003. IF we can find the receipt. The problem with that is Home Depot receipts all fade! We will buy a different brand this time from Lowe's. Their receipts from 2003 have not faded! April 2, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not an install it and forget it solution, but like it when it works. Bought 6 years ago at Home Depot. 3 years later housing had a crack and the button to switch from spray off stopped retracting on its own. I contacted American Standard and they sent a whole new faucet. Installed it and now,3 years later, the housing is fine, but once again, the spray button won't retract on its own. So to shut the spray off, you either turn the button left and right til it shuts off or pull it out with your fingernails. I called American Standard and they said the spray heads wear out over time and are sending a replacement at no charge. I was happy with customer service, but not happy that we've had to interact as much as we have. I was prepared to go get a higher quality faucet, but will postpone that decision for, I'm guessing, about 3 more years. March 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product and Warranty I bought this faucet in Bone color several years ago from Home Depot on clearance for $60.00. The button to change from spray to stream had broken off. The finish had started to peel off and rust. So this week I decided to contact American Standard by Email. I explained my problem and sent a picture of the faucet. They emailed me back and said they no longer made the Bone and gave me a choice of Polished Chrome or Stainless Steel. I chose the Stainless Steel as it should be more durable finish. They are truly a caring company that backs their warranty. June 20, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Superb warranty service I love American Standard products for their great warranty service. I must have installed more than 100 of their products going back 5-10 years. Recently, one of these faucets developed a leak after several years. It was not due to a defect but due to a heat outage letting the water freeze. When I contacted them to find out the part number, they said they would send a new hand spray, no charge. I did not have any receipt, and did not even try to make a warranty claim, but they stand by their products. That is above and beyond the call of duty! December 9, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good for the money Pros: 1. Looks nice and functions well 2. Price 3. Easy to install Cons: 1. Needed to buy new hoses as the ones that came with faucet were too narrow 2. Screws that secure faucet to countertop are cheap and strip easily 3. After 1 month of use, hose connecting faucet handle is starting to fray (no leaks) March 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Nice Faucet! Extra nice faucet. Good pressure. The pull out spray is an extra nice feature. Works well! January 17, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by American Standard no longer stands behind their products We purchased this product several years ago. The handle has broken three times and the pull-out handle has broken at least twice. Although inconvenient, a call placed to American Standard resulted in a replacement part sent in the mail free of charge. That is no longer the case. This time around they charged for $50 for the handle because we couldn't find our receipt (which they never asked for previously). Clearly American Standard doesn't stand behind their products any more. I won't purchase anymore products from them and everyone else should we wary as well! November 24, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Expensive, cheap faucet This faucet was not terribly difficult to install, and worked well for a while. However, after a few months it became difficult to rotate it left or right - the bearing got very gummed up. Could be a problem with our water here in League City, TX, but that wasn't the worst part. After about 8 months of operation, the bulb at the end developed a crack in the housing near where the water comes out. The crack is growing and water now sprays out to the side. I have no idea where our receipt or proof of purchase is, so I'm pretty much out of luck. SAVE YOUR RECEIPTS. February 4, 2007
