description reads this faucet Not For Sale in California. Is this a dangerous item or what?

Asked by: GT
In California there is a water restriction of pressure. It is California's problem- not the faucet.

Number of Holes Actually Used

In the case of the kitchen faucet I am replacing, the water supply lines both go to a center hole. The spray has a separate hole. The supply for the spray goes under the sink from the center hole to the spray. There are no other holes in the sink. Also, copper supply lines that are about 12" long are an integral part of the faucets. They protrude below the bottom of the sinks. As a result, it is easy to connect the water supply to these copper supply lines. My question is whether the American Standard Reliant Faucet offered here is similar to my old faucet in these two respects. Thanks!
Asked by: John
This faucet requires 4 holes and will not work with your sink.

Is there a repair kit for this faucet?

The spout is difficult to turn and makes a noise. I suspect the seals need replacing. I purchased the unit at my local HD.
Asked by: Purebred
No repair kit comes with the product.

Reliant+ Single-Handle Standard Kitchen Faucet with Side Sprayer in Polished Chrome is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 32.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from mine drips some I like the look of the faucet! Though, I am not impressed with the sprayer because it sets at an angle instead of straight up and down. Even more, I am disappionted because the faucet drips some after being put in the off position. I'm wondering if I got a defective one.

I bought this to replace a basic Moen that had split down the neck, had been replaced by Moen, installed (with my expense) and then started leaking. I decided that I was done with Moen (even though they have great looking items). This is a heavyweight item that can withstand a heavy handed use. The sprayer doesn't seem to get the highest water pressure and the cord still needs to release the 'coil' a bit. I am very happy with this. And my plumber agreed that this a great brand that lasts.

I bought this online to replace an old corroded kitchen faucet that came with my place which was nothing but trouble. American Standard has always been my go to as I have never had trouble with any of their products and once more they didn't let me down. Removing the old faucet was by far the most difficult part of this process. It felt like a cheap toy compared to the American Standard. Once the old faucet was removed, putting this faucet in was a snap. I hooked up the sprayer and the new water supply lines and not a drop leaking anywhere. Works fine. Looks outstanding and it has more water pressure than I had. I'm happy! The pistol grip sprayer did not come with this as someone else had mentioned in these reviews so I didn't expect it. Home Depot could have done much better when it came to packaging when they shipped this. It came in the box that you would find this in on a shelf in one of their stores. No other protection. The box wasn't even taped shut. It looked like it had been repeatedly walked on. I found that shoddy to say the least but luckily everything was there inside and not damaged. Seeing things shipped like that after you pay $100 plus is not what I expect to see. So yay American Standard...Boo Home Depot!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love this faucet.Easy Install but the sprayer handle is not the one pictured on the website. This one is smooth handled Only giving this a Three Star rating because the image shows a hand sprayer with finger grooves and the one I received is smooth (see my pics) Otherwise this is definitely a heavier, solid, well built product the American Standard brand is known for. Was very easy to install. I've not had any problems or anything to complain about, no unusual Sprayer Valve thump when the sprayer is activated, as others have stated, this one is quiet. Water pressure improved a bit, definitely improved from the sprayer itself compared to the Moen brand we just replaced with this one. Moen had a built in sprayer, was also the main water spout, we had nothing but trouble with it. Bottom Line: I recommend the American Standard brand, and take your time to install correctly. You'll be very happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Faucet at a Great Price This an extremely solid product, as in a chrome plated cast brass body. Installation presented no surprises; very simple and straightforward. Fit and finish are excellent, and maintenance appears easy, though with ceramic valves, I don't expect to replace many cartridges. My only gripe is that compared to my previous American Standard Colony faucet, the sprayer has significantly reduced pressure.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hard to Repair After about 5 years it started leaking. Since it was under warranty I was sent another cartridge. In installed it--still leaked. I was sent some other seals for beneath the cartridge and installed them--leaked worse. I had also been sent some additional seals for the spout, but haven't been able to get the spout off. Right not it is completely unusable. I've replaced a lot of seats and springs and seals before, but I have never had such issues as with this one.
