Simply turn the handle to the right while in the off position for fresh, filtered water. Water is filtered through an in-line, carbon-based filter before it reaches the spout. Can the Aerator be removed so a portable dishwasher adapter can be connected?

Answer: 
This is not a black and white question to answer. Generally, you can use a portable dishwasher with a faucet using a standard aerator but since this is a filter faucet it may interfere with the stream. It would be according to the clearance and connection.

The fliter does not alter the taste of the water it just fliters the water of any minerals that come thru the water line.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by bought this about 11 years ago. It has performed very well. Filters are easy to change and if you followed the recomendeed schedule, you would always have good water. Somewhere over the years, the volume control handle lost its smoothness and has a strange looking crack, but it still performs well. Good product. Fear I may have to start ordering the filters online. December 9, 2012
