does the lifetime free of leaks mean that the cartridge will never need to be replaced?

Asked by: Mauzey
The life of the seals on a cartridge is dependent on water conditions. As long as you keep your receipt you have a lifetime warranty on the faucet. If the seals fail and it leaks we will replace them for you at no charge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good product Received the free shipment within time as promised. Good product. Easy installation process, especially the drain stopper it is the best, all metal. Long water connection hoses, requires 3/8 in. connection to the supply valves in the wall. Looks like it will be easy to maintain clean due to simple design although water stain marks are very noticeable . All brass construction. It does not include hole cover for a 3 hole wash basin, it had to be bought separately, available by American Standard. I did however buy a 1/2 priced one by different manufacturer. It fits well. Faucet it self (polished chrome finish) was reasonably priced at Home Depot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good looks, sturdy. Rather large faucet. This faucet looks good and feels very sturdy. Haven't had it long enough to give it a long term review. Unless I figure out the secret, the brushed finish seems like it will be difficult to keep looking nice. Perhaps a stainless cleaner would help. If you're pairing this with the Studio Carre sink, be aware - this faucet is rather large. Unfortunately, I bought both sight unseen thinking since they were both from the Studio line they would look fine together. This faucet looks a bit silly with the tiny sink. Also, the plumber (who didn't know my husband could hear him talking to his apprentice) went on a rant about American Standard faucets and what a pain they are to install. His exact words were "dumbest thing in the history of the world." Not sure what the issue is, but he wasn't happy. Sadly, I believe his quality of work suffered a bit because he was disgruntled. And since my husband knows the faucet is a pain to deal with, I'm kinda stuck with the awkward look for now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice modern touch to a blah bathroom. Just don't forget a hole/plate cover! Everything is in the box - no need to run to the store for anything. Well - almost nothing. Guess I didn't see the big "single hole" description in the name. But truthfully, I didn't know I had a 3 hole sink until the old Moen Chateau was removed. In my defense however, one of the photos on for this item shows the faucet WITH a plate/hole cover but the plate/hole cover is NOT included in the box - I repeat NOT included. Personally, I think that photo or the product description should have a disclaimer or say this somewhere but hey, that's just me. P.S. - the product description does say "1,3 faucet holes required" so again in my defense, I was not a total idiot. And for the price of this faucet from American Standard, I think the hole/pate cover could have been included. Thankfully (with MUCH gratitude to Pfister!!!) for my other bathroom faucet also installed today, it came with 2 plates/hole covers. So I took the spare black one and reappropriated it for this faucet. Now with this plate/hole cover, the faucet really stands out on the off-white cultured sink and kind of pops I think. So if you have a three hole sink, either get a different faucet, see if American Standard customer service can sell you a plate, check out the stores and see if you can find one there, or have the other faucet like I did (coincidentally) and use their spare plate. So with disaster averted, the rest of the install went without a hitch. The stopper lever is really quite nicely hidden in the back with an ever so small lever that is not hideous at all. The handle glides very nicely from side to center to side. Water pressure is good and the stopper does its job. The connection for the stopper under the sink is certainly unique - not anything I've seen before. If you look at the photo of under the sink, the black cable on the right side with white adaptor on the end screwing into the drain - it's part of the drain stopper mechanism. Hopefully not much water spotting since I have softened water - it is a very shiny/refelctive faucet.Overall very nice and it jazzes up my otherwise my builder grade blah bathroom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful lavatory faucet When I took the faucet out of the box, I was very impressed by the quality feel and the weight. This is not your ordinary run of the mill faucet. This is a solid, heavy faucet. The installation went smoothly and quickly. The toughest part was removing the old faucet and drain pipe. Since this faucet uses a cable to open and close the drain, you must change the drain pipe. It's not that hard to do, but it adds a few steps compared to reusing the drain - I typically re-use the old drain. It was only a couple extra steps, but it did take a little time. The cable does make it much easier to install the faucet itself. The E shaped clamp slides in place, so I could keep the nut pretty tight, then just slide the clamp in place. After that, just tighten up the nut. With the cable operated drain stopper, the installation and adjustment of the stopper was very easy. The hot and cold lines are color coordinated, which helps in the install. When I turned the faucet on for the first time, my initial response was "Wow, what a nice feeling faucet". The handle moves smoothly and has a nice feeling when I turned the water off. It feels like a well engineered and well made faucet. It also looks gorgeous in our downstairs bathroom. The design is ultra modern, without looking trendy. It doesn't hurt that the unit is such great quality. The overall impression is that this is a very expensive faucet from a very exclusive company. It's nice to be able to add value to our home with simply a new faucet. If you're looking for a modern but conservative look, this is the faucet for you. You'll love the quality feel. And make sure you have a one hole sink, or you'll need to install a plate - something I'm not sure will work on this faucet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice modern faucet My plumber installed two of these in recent bathroom remodels. Nice modern look -- they're not exactly satin nickel (silver) in color but rather they have a slight bronze tint so they don't quite match the other brushed/satin nickel items I got. Be aware that It doesn't come with an escutcheon plate to cover any extra holes in sink; I was able to find one at Amazon but ended up putting in two soap/lotion dispensers in the vanity top in one bathroom instead. I used a one-hole pedestal sink in the other bathroom so didn't need an escutcheon or other solution to cover holes.
