drain locations for new installation corner toliet model 2844.016.020

Asked by: Anonymous
The Spec sheet states 12" from both walls creating the corner for the center of the toilet flange. I had hoped to use an offest flange to move toilet further back against the one wall as part of replacment project. This did not work with existing drain pipe and hole in the floor. The result is the new toilet is tight to one wall and stands out for the other wall. Regardless, the bolt holes in the flange do not work with the new 45 degree angle. The flange must be replaced or rotated depending on construction.

Rough in size

How do I measure the rough in size on a corner toilet ?
Asked by: Anonymous
You measure from the corner of the finished wall; where the walls meet, to the center of the bolt on the bowl where it connects to the flange.

Titan 2-Piece 1.6 GPF Right Height Round Toilet in White with Triangle Tank-DISCONTINUED is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from We love this toliet. I did not expect it to be as tall as it is and it is so much nicer. The flush is powerful. I really like this corner toliet. It is bigger than I anticipated which is a good thing and being it is taller it is so much nicer. I really love this product and would recommend it to others.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Somewhat disappointed Like someone else mentioned, the tank leans forward although it has nothing to do with it needing a 3rd bolt. It is a defective bowl. There are 2 ridges or seats on the bowl that the tank sits on. The one in the rear is higher than the one in the front which is what causes the tank to lean forward. I checked that the bowl was level from front to back and it was, then put the level on the ridges front to back and proved that it was tilted - very tilted. It was obvious just by looking at it that there was a problem. In addition, the bolt holes in the bowl for the tank mounting screws were almost a quarter of an inch wider than the tank bolt holes. This caused one of the screws to go in at an angle which made the tank look crooked on the bowl. This also didn't allow the screw to seal properly inside the tank which caused a slow drip which I only noticed the next morning when I woke up with a puddle on the floor. I called American Standard customer service and they said the bowl was defective. So I returned the whole tank and bowl it to my local HD store. Other than that, I had no other problems with it. It flushed well and I really liked it. No flapper problems with this one. Based upon the other gentlemen's review, my concern is that maybe there is a bad batch of these in HD's stock. Not sure I'll purchase another from HD for this reason. The lead time is just tool long to take the chance and I cannot have it shipped to the store so that it could be checked in the store. However, I was really impressed with HD's packing of this toilet for shipment. That was something I was worried about but they did a great job - strong boxes and lots of padding. Being able to return it to the store was a great plus. Anyway, hope this may help anyone else having a similar problem. Still without a toilet.....Should have kept the old one!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unique product solved our space issue! We recently purchased a 1908 American Four Square house in Chicago. One of the bathrooms has a unique shape to it and the position of the toilet was not very welcoming. On a whim we went to HomeDepot.com and found this great corner toilet which solved our space issue. It looks great and everyone that has seen it loves it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed Flapper did not allow the toilet to flush, had to buy a $10 flapper to make it work. Needs a third bolt in the tank to secure properly, so now it leans forward. Handle to large, so if I shim the tank in the upright position it hits the wall. I will now have to buy a new smaller flush handle so it will fit properly so I can shim my brand new $300 plus toilet. Don't buy if you don't need a corner toilet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Toilet won't flush first time We bought this toilet brand new at home depot for over $300.00. It has to be flushed twice each time to get it down. Have tried adjusting all the little links and still doesn't work. I see why it was discontinued! No water pressure! Anyone that says it has great pressure is the dealer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good solution for a tight space One of the bathrooms in my son's home appears to have been a powder room converted into a bathroom by adding a corner shower. The toilet was difficult to use. The Titan corner toilet permitted use to angle the toilet between the sink and the corner shower making it much more user friendly. The toilet flange was already installed and glued in place. We had hopes of repositioning the toilet further back in one corner by using an offset flange since we had to replace the existing flance to chage the position of the toilet bolt holes in order angle the new toilet bowl. This required cutting the verticle drain pipe in the basement and gluing a new extension pipe. The offset toilet flange is intended for new construction rather than retrofitting with an existing hole in the floor. The resulting installation does not have the toilet sit tight to both corners (due to the position of the toilet flange), but it is much easier to use. The higher set is also easier to use. Very pleased with purchse so far.
