Customer Questions & Answers

Flusher handle

Is the flusher handle chrome or satin nickel?
Asked by: Maria
handle is chrome, but it is unobtrusive. Goes nicely with my bath fixtures which are satin nickel. I didn't even realize handle was chrome until seeing your question. I had to go look to see if it 'matched' my faucets etc., Didn't even notice that it didn't match.

Toilet tank wobbles front and back slightly.

Is the tank on the town square toilet suppose to move front and back even though it is tightend all the way?
Asked by: Pat
Could it be the installation? Mine does not.

Asked by: Strawbobrob
The trap is fully glazed and hooking up the water supply is not difficult to do.

Town Square FloWise 2-piece 1.28 GPF Right Height Elongated Toilet in Linen is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from great looking product. Terrific flush using minimal water. One warning...the toilet evacuates out... great looking product. Terrific flush using minimal water. One warning...the toilet evacuates out the back not straight down. Our plumber had to make new hole in wall and replumb the connection. Took A LOT of time. If you are handy no big deal, but in our case the plumbing bill is as much as the toilet!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Big mistake I've had this toilet 1.5 years. I got this when I did a guest bathroom remodel. I was put off by the price, but loved the clean lines of it, so much so that I got the matching shower base. I had both pieces professionally installed. In 1.5 years I have replaced the seat lid 3 times. It keeps cracking from the back of the seat to the front. Just to replace the seat is 65.00. American Standard insists someone is sitting on the seat lid, which is not the case. I've decided to cut my loses and get a different brand toilet, not made by AS. Anyone interested in a less than 2 year old pricey toilet, it will be sitting at curbside for trash pick up.

Plumbers installed it and we had no complaints from them. A little bit pricey, but it goes well with a DXV console sink we had installed and was cheaper than the DXV toilet that matched.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I was looking for! I purchased the toilet in the linen color to replace an older model American Standard unit and had it installed by my contractor two months ago. I could not be more pleased with the toilet. The styling is superb with it's classic lines and the "Right Height" feature is the best choice I could have made as the unit so much more comfortable to use than the standard height toilets. The flush is quiet and most efficient and the slow closing lid is a nice plus. My next project will be to have another Town Square model installed in my second bathroom. I recommend this toilet without hesitation.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I like the look at the bottom I bought this toilet last summer because of the classic bold lines at the bottom which makes it very easy to clean. The one think I continue to have a problem with is the seat. It continues to come loose therefore the top of the toilet seat does not stay in place. It always swings from side to side and it always needs to be repositioned before and after every use. I have took the seat off multiple time and adjusted/tightened the screws but couple days loose again. :( ugggghh. Its irritates me and would not buy again. This was for my powder room in the downstairs hall and was going to get another for my guest bathroom but not again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my new toilet! Love the simple classic lines and love that there are no ugly pipe looking bulges on the sides. It was more expensive, but I don't regret it, as cleaning it is a breeze.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great "slab-side" look Two years ago we refreshed the entire front bathroom. One of the elements was the American Standard Town Square FloWise Right Height Elongated 1.28 gpf Toilet. The plumber was not used to the different installation process and took an extra hour to get it right. No extra charge from the plumber, but good to know. The low flow toilet requires a learning curve on "How to Flush for Acceptable Results." It can be done but only with thoughtfulness. Somewhat disappointing for the premium priced toilet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny! We recently installed the Town Square elongated toilet in our guest bathroom. We love it and our guests have raved about it. The sleek design, perfect height, water savings, easy to clean and the seat is amazing , it closes in slow motion. We hesitated on the price, but it is absolutely worth every penny. In fact we are buying another one for the Master Bath
