Answer:
Toilets are usually sent out with chrome trip levers. If Satin Nickel is wanted it would need to be purchased since it is an upgrade.

Answer:
No, there should be no movement at all if it is installed correctly. The tank will need to be touching the bowl all of the aware around. I would suggest to loosen it back up and have someone apply some general pressure to the tank and tighten it down slowly alternative back and forth. That should pull it down straight for you.

Answer:
Hi Pat, no this should not happening. This sounds like the gasket between the tank and bowl is not setting properly.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 17 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Big mistake I've had this toilet 1.5 years. I got this when I did a guest bathroom remodel. I was put off by the price, but loved the clean lines of it, so much so that I got the matching shower base. I had both pieces professionally installed. In 1.5 years I have replaced the seat lid 3 times. It keeps cracking from the back of the seat to the front. Just to replace the seat is 65.00. American Standard insists someone is sitting on the seat lid, which is not the case. I've decided to cut my loses and get a different brand toilet, not made by AS. Anyone interested in a less than 2 year old pricey toilet, it will be sitting at curbside for trash pick up. July 25, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great "slab-side" look Two years ago we refreshed the entire front bathroom. One of the elements was the American Standard Town Square FloWise Right Height Elongated 1.28 gpf Toilet. The plumber was not used to the different installation process and took an extra hour to get it right. No extra charge from the plumber, but good to know. The low flow toilet requires a learning curve on "How to Flush for Acceptable Results." It can be done but only with thoughtfulness. Somewhat disappointing for the premium priced toilet. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great toilet, strong flush This toilet is my main toilet in my first floor powder room. It flushes strongly and doesn't leave any stains. It's quiet and doesn't take up as much space as other reviews had made it seem. I got the two piece instead of the one piece so as to save over $100, and I'm glad I did. Still kind of expensive. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by In a page full of items-this is the one This caught my eye right away. the angles and lines are really beautiful and comfortable. August 27, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by I like the look at the bottom I bought this toilet last summer because of the classic bold lines at the bottom which makes it very easy to clean. The one think I continue to have a problem with is the seat. It continues to come loose therefore the top of the toilet seat does not stay in place. It always swings from side to side and it always needs to be repositioned before and after every use. I have took the seat off multiple time and adjusted/tightened the screws but couple days later.....seat loose again. :( ugggghh. Its irritates me and would not buy again. This was for my powder room in the downstairs hall and was going to get another for my guest bathroom but not again. August 8, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Almost perfect I love everything about this toilet, except for the fact that the included toilet seat/lid just broke after only 2 years. Split right down the middle of the lid. FYI: "10 year warranty on entire toilet" does not cover the seat (only 1 year)...Plumber's complaint about installing this toilet was how short the water line needed to be due to the hidden trap (since the piping was already in place). But any toilet with this feature would have given him some difficulty. February 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Everything I was looking for! I purchased the toilet in the linen color to replace an older model American Standard unit and had it installed by my contractor two months ago. I could not be more pleased with the toilet. The styling is superb with it's classic lines and the "Right Height" feature is the best choice I could have made as the unit so much more comfortable to use than the standard height toilets. The flush is quiet and most efficient and the slow closing lid is a nice plus. My next project will be to have another Town Square model installed in my second bathroom. I recommend this toilet without hesitation. December 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Purchased the right product. The Town Square Flowise 2-piece 1.28 GPF right height elongated toilet is perfect in my new remodeled family room/basement bathroom. I remodeled a small 2 piece powder room into a 3 piece bath with a shower (51"x100"). The toilet tank is small, compact and streamline. The comfort height is great and the elongated seat is comfortable. I love the hidden bolts on the side, makes for easy cleaning and looks good. I bought another one for the tear out main bathroom upstairs. All of my fixtures (sink, tub, shower, faucets are Grohe (lower) and Kohler(main floor) baths, but these toilets look better than those by Grohe and Kohler and cost less. The flush is great, small amount of water but everything goes in one flush. My sister is getting them for her bathroom remodeling projects. The plumber commented on how heavy the toilets are. You will not be disappointed. And it came with a soft close seat. March 21, 2015
