CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 31 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Only method to obtain replacement parts I ordered two stems to repair my American Standard faucet from the website because they are not sold in the store. This is a faucet that is sold exclusively through Home Depot, but they do not carry the repair parts in the store??? It is less expensive and easier to repair the faucet as opposed to replacing it but why not sell the replacement parts? February 26, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Reasonably priced. Easy to install. Reasonable delivery time. My daughter purchased a bathroom sink faucet at a yard sale for about $10. I installed it for her expecting it to leak. It did. So I went online looking for replacement valves. The cheapest I could find was at Home Depot. The very clear photo and description made it easy to order the right replacement valve. Let me just say, my daughter got a faucet which would retail for about $100 for under $30. You can't beat that anywhere. Every father needs to be a hero to his children, thanks Home Depot, you helped make me that hero. :) March 20, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by ok, for a quick fix This is a quick fix, it is difficult because it is not stocked in the store, but for a person who does not know much about plumbing, it could have come with better instructions. This is my 3rd replacement in 2 years, and I dont know if it starts leaking after about a year from not being installed correctly, or just the quality of the product. March 27, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This valve cartridge really valves! Hey everyone, this is amazing: this valve fit the faucet it was made for and wouldn't you know it, when I move the handle one way the water turns on and when I move it the other way it turns off. Just like magic! This is some advanced technology. Seriously, just wanted to have fun with a boring review for a product that does exactly what it's supposed to, is reasonably priced, is easy to install, and easy to change its direction so that it can be used for the hot or cold valve. The only thing that irked me is that I had to order it. January 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works as expected, but a pain to replace. These replacements work just fine. My biggest issue was removing the old valves. First, I had to remove the entire valve body from the sink. After that, I found the old valve wouldn't unscrew from the valve body due to corrosion. I tried WD-40 - no dice. Ultimately, I had to heat the valve body with a torch to get it to release. Then, once it cooled down, I had to clean out the corrosion inside the valve body using a scotch-brite pad followed with a flush of water and then dried it out before re-assembly. Three + hours later I had it up and running. If you have a chunk of spare time on your hands and don't mind working at it, these will work just fine. Otherwise, consider replacing the whole assembly. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easiest place to find these cartridges. Standard faucet cartridges are a pain to track down. They also can be ridiculously expensive. Home Depot resolves both of these issues. May 20, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works to perfection... Easy fix...works better than original equipment...turns easier... May 13, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Another one that is good so far (2 mos.) I moved into a new house and the hot water tap on the kitchen sink would not turn off all the way. I had to by this piece and the companion faucet handle adapter for it. Both together were fairly cheap so I bought 2 of each assuming 1, or both, might break in the near future. It's only been 2 months so far, but there are no leaks and the faucet works great. Changing the parts was very easy and probably only took 25 minutes total (and I have no plumbing experience whatsoever). I think anyone moderately good with their hands should be able to change this part relatively easy. (I limited my rating to 4 stars and quality to 4/5 since I don't know how long it will last) January 24, 2012
