The measurements of the area wall is 18 inches high, 37 inches across from end to end where it would attach to the building and projects out 16 inches at the widest part of the curve.

Answer: 
Hi Brennen. It really depends on what you are going to screw the area wall into. We recommend at least an inch or inch and a half into the wall.
