I put these on my house last year. I still have to clean them off, oak pollen/pine needles stay on. They will keep the gutters clean, but it's almost the same effort to clean out the gutters or these. I really haven't found a great gutter guard solution that doesn't need some sort of cleaning. These are okay, easy to install. not sure how long they'll last, but they seem okay. Price is cheap compared to other solutions.
Best solution is probably No Gutters, but that would require regular ground maintenance. these are probably better than nothing, but not maintenance free.

These are mediocre at keeping water into gutters. The fine mesh acts like a shield (perhaps by water's capillary action) for water to run across and reach the snap in plastic end. I was upset after watching a huge amount of water dripping after installing about 55 linear feet of these.
I finally ripped out the fine mesh and drilled a lot of holes near the clip on end. (the thick clip-on end acts like a dam, the eventually allows water to over flow the gutter profile.
Go with the large mesh, especially if you don't have a needle problem with pine trees.

I was kind of shocked not to find any directions whatsoever in the box of 25 pieces of gutter guard, and none written on the box. However, I did find a useful youtube video that showed installation.
For each section, you need to cut a small notch out of the mounting flange, so that the new piece slightly overlaps the previous piece. I found that it's easy to cut these with a pair of tin snips, despite them being made of plastic. Regular scissors really struggled to cut the thick flanges on the ends. The other thing I found is that it's a LOT easier if you can see over the top of the gutter. Doing this by feel alone is all but impossible. Plus, being able to see in the gutter allows you to remove any leaves, sticks, etc... that may have accumulated there.
The day after I installed these, we had a torrential rain. I went outside to look at the performance of these guards. The water flowed right in, and leaves got pushed off. I'd call that a successful design.
My only complaint is that they are only available in white. Amerimax offers gutters in several colors (mine are "grecian green"). When installed on the green gutters against a cedar tone shingled roof, they really stand out. My wife has already said we need to take them down and spray paint them to match the gutters. I don't know how well the paint will hold up, but it's easy to take these out, and I'll likely do it in the near future.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by 290Vette They don't work after a couple of years.
After three years these Snap-In gutter guards were not working as expected. They were coming lose and my gutters and downspouts were filled with debris. I just replaced them all with another type of guard. Hopefully the new type will work better than these did.
