Rated 4 out of 5 by from Install was easy This was an easy install. Once I got through the measurements I made my cut on the existing gutter. The only thing I didn't use was the plastic bracket it came with because the straps that held the gutter to the wall was secure enough. The installation looks very clean. If you're really worried about leaves and stuff getting stuck in this water catcher, it's probably best to buy one of those gutter screens (looks like a light bulb-shaped screen) and stick it at the top of the gutter downspout and that should block all the big stuff and prevent this thing from getting clogged. I gave it one less star because, if I had used the bracket, the screw wouldn't have held anything. I have a brick wall and I would have needed to drill through the brick and needed a more robust screw instead. Rain is forecast in a couple of days so we'll see how it works!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Elegantly simple Works great, fills the barrel, then just passes the excess on. It was a bit tricky finding the neutralization level that stops water going to the barrel but I suspect that if I were going to install more of them each one would be a little easier. Great solution at the right price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Clogged Up After 4 Months Installation was easy. Worked well for a limited time, but not anymore. While it worked it would fill up our 40 gal tank during a 1/4" rain shower. During a heavy rain storm the other day, I pulled the supply hose out of the tank and saw no more than a trickle coming out of the colander, while the water was gushing out the downspout. Am very disappointed and can't recommend the device.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Works but....not well Water is collected, but most of the water still runs out the down spout. I would guess about 40% is collected. Maybe if the collection area was wider, more water could be collected. I plan on returning this and trying something different.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job nicely Very easy to install. The directions were very clear. The biggest issue was getting the downspout in the proper position. After that, it was incredibly easy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Works but not very well Most of the water still comes out at the bottom of the downspout. I assume that it relates to the size of the hose it does not capture it al.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Completely worth it! I looked at a lot of different options and this one by far was the most economical and simplest to install. It was out of stock originally and I had to wait a couple weeks before it was available but again it was worth it.
