These are a flexible plastic snap-in gutter guard that have a screen panel hot-glued on. They let water pass easily from the roof into the gutter while keeping out leaves and those pollen things from the oak trees. Last year, some of the screen components became detached and blew off, but the rest of the guard protected the gutters well.

These are easy to install, and they really filter out all the things you don't want in your gutters. The diamond-shaped holes keep out the deciduous leaves like oak, sweetgum, etc. but around here we have a lot of pine (North Carolina, "The Land of the Pine," as Darius Rucker sings), so the mesh is important in keeping the needles out. And of course, if you have brown or black gutters, you want brown guards, not white.

Recently installed. At first it was difficult but once a few were installed I figured out how to do it faster.
The big question I ask is how long will the filters last before cracking (it is made out of plastic so I hope it
lasts at least 10 years). Observing it in the daytime while raining it appears to be working (water drains into the filter without overflowing over the gutter). I would like to hear from other people that have had this for over 2 years. Thank you.

We live on a heavily wooded lot and that means we deal with Autumn leaves and year round debris. These gutter guards work well to keep leaves and debris out, but some sag after time, requiring replacement. No big deal since they're reasonably priced and our gutters are easily accessed by ladder. We have learned that if you cut a very small section (about 1/4 inch) out of the lower part of guard (attaches to gutter) that the guards can be moved closer together to somewhat overlap, giving better support and coverage.

I used these brown plastic gutter guards on the back of the roof many years ago and they are still serving their purpose. I recently purchased new guards for the front of the house to replace a mesh metal guard. They arrived a few days after I placed the order. The brown is a perfect color. They match my brown roof and gutter. My only regret is the brown guards are not stocked in the store and they had to be ordered online. Im sure these guards will have the same durability as the old ones which were also purchased at Home Depot.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Willie Meets my expectations.
I shopped online and locally for an inexpensive gutter guard and decided to purchase this one. The product arrived ahead of schedule and in good condition. I like the filter aspect of this filter gutter guard because I have pine needles to content with as well as willow oak leaves. The sections were short enough for easy installation and were easy to install. I overlapped each one 3" per the manufacture's instructions. I took the time while removing the leaves from the gutters to brush the gutters with an old paint brush so I am starting out with a clean system . I am enjoying watching the leaves tumble off the roof and over the gutters to the ground. It is more exciting than watching the grass grow!!!

These gutter guards snap in nicely to my steel gutters, and the 3 foot length is easy to work with. I'm replacing a similar set that was put on the house decades ago, as they do become brittle with age. But I like the way they work enough to just put on another set. I like that they have upgraded the current model to include a fine mesh over the top, as the older ones did let in stuff that the mesh will keep out. All in all, these continue to be my favorite gutter guard.
